Lewiston, NY Aug 6, 2021, approx. 8:30 pm: This YouTube Link shows an approximately 3.7 mile traffic jam of mostly waiting to cross an International bridge from Lewiston New York to Queeston, Ontario (see map below where this video was taken. There was a report from Buffalo NY of a similar traffic jam of trucks waiting to cross the Peace Bridge into Fort Erie, ON at the same time.
Local news say the Canadian union wants better protection for staff and other things... So to make their point they are asking each person every question in the manual.
Late word that the slow down appears to have paid off. The Public Service Alliance of Canada, Customs and Immigration Union released a statement:
"...We are relieved that CBSA and the government finally stepped up to address the most important issues for our members to avoid a prolonged labour dispute," said Chris Aylward, PSAC national president. "The agreement is a testament to the incredible hard work and dedication of our bargaining team who worked through the night to reach a deal"
"We also couldn't have done it without the tremendous support of our members, who put intense pressure on the government at every airport and border crossing across the country today..."
Bottom line: Unlike America, Canadians know how to shut down a national border. Perhaps a teachable moment for the U.S. Border Patrol down south.

The Border Patrol already knows how to do this better than any Canadian.

I just dropped that story into Friday’s massive Newsdump News Summary....https://nextrushfree.blogspot.com/2021/08/news-summary-intelligence-report-friday.html
Exactly.
The Border Patrol knows how to shut down a border.
Robinette Biden, the Commander-in-Thief, and his marxist Politboro won’t let the Border Patrol do their job.
The real and unavoidable fact is that not many people are going to try to cross the Niagara River. Compare that to the dirty water ditch called the Rio Grande, and Mexico's lack of restraining cooperation.
Thanks for this illuminating post.
I seem to remember the US side doing that in Detroit (Ambassador Bridge) 40 or so years ago.
