In a newly published study, scientists have shown that the flu vaccine may provide vital protection against COVID-19.
This was the largest study…which strongly suggested that the annual flu shot reduces the risks of stroke, sepsis, and DVT in patients with COVID-19. Patients with COVID-19 who had been vaccinated against the flu were also significantly less likely to visit the emergency department and be admitted to the intensive care unit.
Members of the first study group had received the flu vaccine two weeks and six months prior to being diagnosed with COVID-19. Those in the second group also had a positive COVID-19 diagnosis but were not vaccinated against the flu. The incidence of 15 adverse outcomes (sepsis; strokes; deep vein thrombosis or DVT; pulmonary embolism; acute respiratory failure; acute respiratory distress syndrome; arthralgia or joint pain; renal failure; anorexia; heart attack; pneumonia; emergency department visits; hospital admission; ICU admission; and death) within 30, 60, 90 and 120 days of testing positive for COVID-19 were then compared between the two groups.
The analysis revealed that those who had not had the flu shot were significantly more likely (up to 20% more likely) to have been admitted to the ICU. They were also significantly more likely to visit the emergency department (up to 58% more likely), to develop sepsis (up to 45% more likely), to have a stroke (up to 58% more likely) and a DVT (up to 40% more likely). The risk of death was not reduced.
Although it isn't exactly known yet how the flu vaccine provides protection against COVID-19, most theories speculate that the flu shot may boost the innate immune system—general defenses we are born with that do not protect against any one specific illness.

Well D’oh
Curioser and curioser.
Alice in Wonderland was not supposed to be an instruction manual!
test
So we could’ve stopped this in its tracks last year with a known and proven vaccine?
Sure Jan.
This is great news. Hopefully here in the Soviet Union of CA the flu shot can soon “count” as being vaccinated against covid.
Maybe the shingles shot would do the same.
This is very good news for me and my spouse. We had the flu shot and the covid shots. No wonder no covid symptoms to either one of us even after a jam packed cruise in 2020.
I had my last flu shot in Sept. 2014 on the advice of my then quack. 6 weeks later I contracted BOTH strains of the flu.
Oh, and I had the coof last August. Wasn’t quite as sick but it did last twice as long as the double dose of flu. There will be no more jabs for me!
But it’s not the Flu. It’s totally different you know.
Won't get the covid jab though.
"It's just the flu, bro!" ping!
If its manufacturer can’t show it’s at least 85% relatively more effective than placebos, gene-altering, and tested on fetus cells, it’s not worth forcing on 5 billion people under threat of segregation and total social alienation and prison

In my late 20s, I had my first and only flu shot. Missed two days of work right after. Never again.
Maybe because so many supposed Covid cases are the common flu?
So does HCQ and Ivermectin and with the added bonus not getting any of those possible extremely rare, very rare, rare side effects that somehow get reported to VARES.
So for the first time ever, maybe I should get a flu shot?
“Folks, we appear to have protection, due to the flu shot.”

From what I’ve read, it seems that anything that prods your immune system to go to a higher state of “readiness” will help you if you are later exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19. There have been studies that show the Tuberculosis vaccine and the pneumonia vaccine (the “old” one, not the newer one which covers more strains of pneumonia) have a similar preventative effect against severe COVID-19.
Of course heathy nutrition can also help strengthen your immune system.
The shingles shot almost eradicated ME last year when I went to get the vaccine my doctor wanted me to get, against shingles. Within a couple of seconds of the needle leaving my skin, I felt warmth across my upper lip, inside my nose, and inside my mouth. Within seconds, my throat started closing up. I croaked to the pharmacist that I needed Benedryl stat. After about 20 minutes of my taking the Benedryl, I could breathe easier. THAT was one scary experience. Needless to say, I didn't need my doctor to tell me not to take the second shot!
