Same thing that happened with David Paterson who replaced Gov. Eliot Spitzer when he resigned after being outted as Client 9 in a prostitution ring sting. As Governor, Paterson was accused of soliciting free Yankee tickets, and was also accused of witness tampering in the domestic abuse case against one of his top aides. He withdrew from the Governor's race that year, which then gave Cuomo the opening he needed to be elected.

Cuomo won’t resign - Biden’s call for him to do so is worthless. Ralph Northam showed the way for Democrat Party members to brazen out their scandals, and Cuomo will follow his example. Within a few weeks, the media will be slobbering over him again.

Attorney General Letitia James wants Andy’s job. She went after him on the sexual harassment charges, because if they’d gone after him for murdering all those old people in the nursing homes, he would have taken down way too many other Democrats with him. Thus the sexual harassment angle. James just cleared the way for herself to pursue her long-term plans. All I can say is that since Republican George Pataki left the Governor’s Office, the Democrats who have held that office for the past 14 years have been doing a hell of a job showing everyone what perverts, murderers, and crooks they are. They don’t even bother to try to hide it anymore.

This should be pretty self-explanatory, as it not only is the norm in most states, but it just happened recently when Elliot Spitzer stepped down as Governor of NY and the blind black dude took over. If the Governor of NY resigns for any reason, the Lieutenant Governor becomes Governor.
If the assembly files a charge to impeach Como’s out right then and there for the duration (or longer).

right- they’re going to do that....the racist attorney general- the one who won’t investigate the $850 million misplaced by deblasio’s black wife or go after sharpton for his taxes- said il duce’ cuomo’s actions were unlawful yet she would not pursue a criminal investigation into those actions.
Let me get this straight: Spitzer was a corrupt sex fiend who resigned in disgrace and was replaced by a corrupt sex fiend who was forced to not run, clearing the way for yet another corrupt sex fiend who is currently the sitting Governor?
