Yes, those countries took previous refugees. Hopefully they learned their lesson & won’t be taking these new ones.

Unfortunately, the US is too stupid to learn from other’ mistakes & we are bringing in as many as we can. It is unbelievable.

At the same time 200K+/mo pouring over our southern border.

We are destroying ourselves in rapid fashion.

“I’m calling Abbott’s AND Cornball’s offices, today.”

Good for you Jane! I would but they seem to ignore input from people who are not constituents.

“The Republican Party is the only way for advancement of conservative values. “

Then all hope is lost.

I count only a handful of congressmen and Senators that are speaking out and sounding conservative.

Yes we are. That plane loaded with hundreds of mostly young Afghan men, they just rushed onto the plane. They weren’t allowed on, and I doubt any of them have any papers.

In the art of the deal, he uses Bluffing or aiming high in negotiations, knowing that you always have to come down a little.

Morning, CB.

It is still morning there, right?

We are creatures of habit, you have a morning routine, that’s all.

I admire you for getting stuff done early and enjoying the rest of your day.

I used to jump in on my day off and accomplish so much.

Now that I am retired I have developed terrible habits.

Always tell myself I can do something later and later never comes.LOL

“The Biden administration moved in June to dismantle a system designed to protect American citizens trapped abroad — just months before the Taliban took over Afghanistan, stranding thousands of Americans in the Central Asian country.”

The timing is pretty coincidental.

Aren’t those medicaid payments based on the individual resident benefits? So basically he’s denying the poor elderly benefits, and punishing the people that worked there through the pandemic, that were not long ago “heroes”.

Biden Just Handed Afghanistan’s Mineral Wealth to China | Opinion

NIGEL FARAGE , FORMER BREXIT PARTY LEADER AND SENIOR EDITOR-AT-LARGE, “THE DEBATE

Once upon a time, commodities such as salt and gold were essential for an economy to function. More recently, oil has kept the wheels of commerce turning. In the 21st century, the green future that is being mapped out for the West will not be able to function without another precious substance: lithium. This industrial metal is light, it is an excellent conductor and it is essential for building electric car batteries. There is no alternative for it.

Afghanistan has some of the world’s largest deposits of lithium, estimated to be worth between $1 trillion and $3 trillion. The bad news is that Joe Biden’s decision to pull American troops out of that country has unilaterally—and literally—handed all of the potential bound up in those lithium deposits to Chinese communists.

Afghanistan’s lithium reserves were first identified during geological studies carried out in the 1980s by the Soviet Union. At that time, the discovery did not resonate with most people because demand for the mineral was fairly low. After the Americans arrived in Afghanistan 20 years ago, they sought to back up the work done decades earlier and, in 2007, the United States Geological Survey discovered vast deposits of iron, gold, copper, cobalt and lithium. This discovery remained largely unknown until 2010. Yet media reports from that year confirmed its significance to modern industry, saying that Afghanistan was on course to be one of the most important mining centers in the world. An internal Pentagon memo that was unearthed at the time even stated that the country could become the “Saudi Arabia of lithium.” It should be noted that Joe Biden was vice president when that memo became widely known.

No wonder the CCP is cozying up to the Taliban

Don’t disagree in the slightest. You always overask in negotiations, whether it be a salary at a new job or when selling a house.

I’m curious to know if anyone at the Trump Administration let anyone at the Biden Administration in on the secret, though. Not that it matters seeing how Plugs royally screwed everything up, and I’m sure he wouldn’t have listened anyhow.

That sounds like a great morning routine, CB.

Even more relaxing....knowing you have all of the morning ‘chores’ (not that walking the dog is a chore!!) done.

One of my fave places to sit - when it’s not a Feels Like 100º day, is by the pool, listening to the fountain overflow, while reading daily devotionals, catching up here, with emails, etc.

Something about the view, and sound, of water.

You are very ambitious and will be well rewarded for your efforts.

Makes me tired just thinking of what you have to do to can all that stuff.😁

I slept pretty well last night, only woke up a couple of times and fell back asleep, thanks for asking.

Yesterday, it rained most of the day, was in the low 60’s so we didn’t have the windows open last night since the house was so cool, might have helped me sleep, no outside noises.

I think this was the whole point of this “boondoggle”. China works with Taliban, arms them and supports them, Taliban takes over Afghanistan easily (thanks to Biden) and now China and Taliban working together to keep country under control and China mines the minerals, Taliban gets rich, people do as they’re told....it’s all working out as planned.
