I was Perusing FR and reading the frightening articles about the ever expanding, global CoupFlu tyranny and this song started playing on my phone.
I love this song and the lyrics of the choir at the end are apropos: “Freedom, freedom, we will not obey. Freedom, freedom, take the wall away.”

Thank you. Very good song and excellent choir at the end. Freedom is the ability to develop a personal preference when looking at two options. To wear a mask or not? Not! To get a covid vaccine or not? Not!
Very influential musical artists. Influential on other artists. Somewhere between prog-rock and new wave in my estimation. Some will say prog-rock but a little pop mixed in - and imo prog-rock is more King Crimson and Pink Floyd than APP but still, can’t knock ‘em.
The Alan Parson’s Project I believe was some sort of hovercraft

Some people have requested that the Alan Parsons song “Old and Wise” be played at their funerals. It is a lovely and meaningful song.
“Closer to Heaven” from Gaudi is another good song for a funeral.
I love Parsons. My three favorite albums are Ammonia Avenue, I Robot, and Tales of Mystery and Imagination.
I Breakdown lyrics:
I breakdown in the middle and lose my thread
No one can understand a word that I say
When I breakdown just a little and lose my head
Nothing I try to do can work the same way
Any time it happened, I’d get over it
With a little help from all my best friends
Anybody else could see what’s wrong with me
But they walk away and just pretend
When I breakdown
I breakdown in the middle and lose my thread
No one can understand a word that I say
When I breakdown just a little and lose my head
Nothing I try to do can work the same way
Where are all the friends who used to talk to me?
All they ever told me was good news
People that I’ve never seen are kind to me
Is it any wonder I’m confused?
When I breakdown
When I breakdown
Take the wall away
(Freedom, freedom, we will not obey)
(Freedom, freedom, take the wall away)
Where are all my friends?
I’m so confused
Take the wall away
(Freedom, freedom)
Take the wall away
(Freedom, freedom)
Will somebody help me?

First thing I thought of......LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
Decent though the name seemed self important. Austin Powers fixed that.
I wouldn’t want to be like you.
Of course dear, I am a man and you don't want to be like me because you're a woman. I get it.
I dont think redneck saw what you did there... ;)

Can’t see a mention APP and Pink Floyd without pointing out that Alan Parsons was the sound engineer for Dark Side of the Moon.
Which reminds me of a Beatles Song.
I'd Rather Be A Man (From "Eve")
You don't fool me with your tinted eyes and make-up
… The firebird hides in shadow when you wake up
Your golden hair is black
Your jeans are tight but your hide is slack
Try it on the company, but you don't fool me
Well I'd rather be a man than play my role like you do
… I'd rather be a man than sin my soul like you do
I'd rather be a man than slave the way that you do
I'd rather be a man cause a man don't crawl like you do
You don't fool me with your easy lies and fables
… You won't see me in ten buck furs and sables
You sparkle like a snake
The wine is real but the glass is fake
Blame it on the apple tree but you don't fool me
Well I'd rather be a man than play my role like you do
… I'd rather be a man than sin my soul like you do
Well I'd rather be a man than slave the way that you do
I'd rather be a man cause a man don't crawl like you do
Your golden hair is black
… Your jeans are tight but your hide is slack
Try it on the company but you don't fool me
Well I'd rather be a man than play my role like you do
I'd rather be a man than sin my soul like you do
Well I'd rather be a man than slave the way that you do
I'd rather be a man cause a man don't crawl like you do
I'd rather be a man cause a man don't crawl like you
I'd rather be a man cause I wouldn't wanna be like you
The core of the APP came from the band "Pilot" of "It's Magic" fame, and Parsons also produced that song for them.
Alan Parsons engineered Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” which still receives rave reviews for it’s brilliant sound quality.
He also was an engineer on the Beatles “Abbey Road” album and the studio where Pink Floyd also recorded.
“The Bee Gees - Lonely Days.
Which reminds me of a Beatles Song.”
Ha. Yup. Always did.
That’s my favorite APP song and I’m also considering having it played at my funeral.
It’s one of the most beautiful, emotional songs ever written, IMHO.
