In chat. Not news. In chitchat: what does this mean: those that have been vaccinated not able to donate convalescent plasma with the Red Cross.

Interesting...that would be my blood, too...I’ve been giving every 2-3 months for past year.

Isn’t that too much? Do you test ferritin to know your stored iron?

Since groups at higher risk for the wuhan coronavirus have more stored iron, I think people without excess iron are not likely to have a problem.

On weekday morning I stream WOR in New York to listen to Mark
Simone, who is outstanding. During his program they occasionally run ads encouraging those who've recovered from the virus to donate blood. I can't recall for sure why they want people to do that but I think they said that they would infuse it into those current ill.

You’re not kidding about a shortage. The hospital where I work normally has quarterly blood drives- now we’re having them every 2 weeks.

I am not vaxed, nor will I take it until the chips fall. Anyone putting that crap in their body is a lab rat.

The monoclonal antibodies are essentially convalescent plasma (cp). There are different types and they are/can be mixed but what they are, are the antibodies identified from a few people who had very robust covid antibody responses that have been grown in “lab dishes” so they can be made at scale, and are then administered exactly like convalescent plasma. With cp you dont know if the plasma is going to provide great covid fighters. With the monoclonal ones that is all you are giving. How you make them is known science. What they do is known science. I have three high comorbidity relatives that were taking a down turn and within a day were up and around after infusions. The vax stuff has what is known as unknown unknowns. These infusions do not and they work at least as well (better) than cp and the side effects short term (possible allergic reactions) and long term (slightly reduced natural immunity since your body had help) are the same as cp.

There is plenty of pharma propaganda, but this stuff works and it works well.

in order to donate convalescent plasma you have to have had the disease.

Convalescent plasma is used for many diseases, though. Why are they now saying you can't donate at all if you've had the vaccination?

Recovered Covid patients have musch better and stronger antibodies. There are 26 (approximately) proteins that natural infection creates antibodies against. The shot focuses on one. Hence the virus escape to the vaccines. It was never un-vax the variants are trying to get around. convalescent Needs to be combined from multiple donations and provide max effect. It only offers limited benefits but the reasons why are not known.

Natural acquired antibodies are 6-7 times better according to Israel’s records. Hence another oddity on why would anyone with natural immunity get the vax. Makes no sense. The Gov answer is a lie. One of way too many.

Back to topic - Red Cross tests all blood and are seeing about 40%+ natural or acquired immunity in Their donations. So 40% don’t need the damn vax. So why push it blindly. Again only logic will tell you the answer.

I got it mainly cuz I’m 60 with a co-morbidity and a first responder doc.

All in all, I agree with you.

No truly healthy person that isn’t possibly exposed to the virus several times per day should take this vaccine risk.

I now have severe tinnitus. Started a few weeks after the jab.

Cause by the jab, coincidental? Don’t know.

Reportedly over 7000 cases of post Covid vac tinnitus.

convalescent plasma is specific to the disease. if you haven’t had the disease you dont qualify. It is not widely used but having the vaccine does not disqualify you from donating other types of plasma

I’m not giving advice to others. It should be an informed decision (they are not giving enough information to comply) and must not be mandatory.

If they think they can force us, they are terrribly WRONG.

I’m Old but not Brain Dead like O’Biden.

I long ago made my call, based upon what I knew over a year ago. Have not changed my mind as I found out how the virus actually worked. There are hidden agenda’s behind this. Not one but multiple. None of them are good for the USA or the World.

I’m glad I live where I do. They’d put me in jail in lots of places for my attitude alone.

When you donate blood and answer the vax question ‘no,’ are you put on the government ’list’ for future harassment?

So, the Red Cross will not take blood from those who have been vaccinated, to use for convalescent therapy purposes.
= = =

But is sounds like they will take blood from the vaccinated.

Does it have spikes in it? mRNA in it?

What will it do if given to an unvax person?

Or a vax person, even?

I bet it is the first time that question has been asked.
= = =

Nope, I asked it in May. Did not get a definite answer, but an agreement that it could be an important factor.

Not sure anyone really knows for sure. All they probably have are best guesses.

As you know, I am in COVID up to my neck, and I am fairly critical of the CDC’s performance (as I have been about Ebola, H1N1, and a number of other fumbles).

What a lot of critics miss is that there is intense bureaucratic warfare going on AMONG NIH (Fauci), FDA, USPHS (CDC), and whoever or whatever is in charge at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Instead of working as a team, everyone is trying to avoid responsibility, make excuses, and in the case of NIH keep the family jewels (the funding of Wuhan outside of legal pathways) deeply under cover.

When everyone could identify “get Trump” as the principal objective, they could more or less present a united front.

But, with Trump gotten, they have fallen apart and their battles will intensify as the stakes rise.

You know the great scene in Starship Troopers when they drag out the Brain Bug and Neil Patrick Harris does the mind meld and declares, “IT’S AFRAID!!”

That’s where the Federal COVID hive is right now. It’s afraid.

Jim Noble :" When everyone could identify “get Trump” as the principal objective, they could more or less present a united front.

True, that the stakes rise, and with Trump gone, they have no unifying force to unite them; the NIH (Fauci), FDA, USPHS (CDC), et al.
That has never been so demonstrated as they announced that they had the "vaccine", on the day after the Biden administration was inaugurated.
Coincidence ?.. I think not !
In the mean time, we have financed nine new Billionaire$, who, I am sure, will richly finance the Democratic party coffers,
not to fail to mention additional research grants to the NIH (Fauci), FDA, USPHS (CDC), and the NGOs.

That is interesting.   I hope it eventually goes away.   With a forty year career as a telecommunications technician, I have had a couple of bouts of tinnitus that did finally get better each time.
