Does anyone know how they determine Delta variants?

I understand that they (medical industry) must be able to see virus differences under electron microscopes, but I'm curious how it is possible to determine tens of thousands cases.

Does anyone understand the science for determining the variants of local viruses?

Oh that is simple. Anytime someone who has been vaccinated against Covid and actually gets Covid, it has to be the Delta strain because, you know, the vaccine works.

The media talks about it, so you just know it is true. Every case is now Delta....until the media tells you about the new one.

I don’t know how they tell but Colorado shows a chart identifying 6 active variants and their case numbers. Delta is the most common at 40.7% of all cases at this time.

They show another 28.8% of all cases as “unknown” as to what variant. Maybe those are the old flu.
