One thing that hit me like a thunderbolt was team USA men’s basketball coach (Mike Brown) talking how losing to Nigeria was good for black people and inspiring. Not long ago America hated losing, now it’s wonderful.
Actually, it’s time to take a short vacation in general. Too much craziness on FR lately.

A lot of the fun was cheering for your team, your country.
Now that they've taken that away, they wonder why people don't care about them anymore. Cheering for what, these individual spolied, self serving jerks?

Ha! I didn’t hear that one. Amazing. I picked the right olympics to stop watching, that’s for sure. I’ve actually stopped watching news and most channels as well. Much better for my psyche.
I like Simone, too. I hope she does well.
Currently, the U.S. still has the lead in medals (25), but Japan is ahead in gold (10 vs. 9) and tied with China. I am not watching the Olympics, but it appears that the U.S. is maintaining the lead it has consistently enjoyed in the Olympics since the fall of the Soviet Union.

I think she applied extra pressure on herself by wearing the GOAT shirts and such. Not everyone can talk it and back it up, in hindsight she probably wishes she would’ve been more reserved, which is probably more in line with her nature anyway.
Turley is boring and the way he dresses is ridiculous. The guy wears vibrant t-shirts under a sports coat.

How many of these US-hating athletes are deliberately losing in order to flip off our country and make it look like we’re weak and disintegrating?
Don’t follow the sport but from many years gone past it seems women excel at a very early age.
As they grow older, gain weight and fill out, it appears that maturity works against them in the sport.
Nadia Comeneci was a monster gymnast at 13. She never regained that height again.

The girls want to cash her. They give their entire lives to the sport. I’m not criticizing them for marketing.
Being “woke” is no path to excellence. Merit is probably totally antithetical to the emotional content of “woke” theology.
For the most part, this year’s US Olympic teams do not seem to be even trying. Nobody remembers who finished second. Even less those who did not gain a ranking.

Russians are white people. It is fashionable to hate on White people. China is our real enemy, but it would be racist to claim so. People of Color, dontcha know.

In a recent interview for Vogue magazine, Biles commented on BLM. She said, “We need change. We need justice for the black community. With the peaceful protests, it’s the start of change, but it’s sad that it took all of this for people to listen.”
Then speaking about Breonna Taylor, she said, “Breonna will be remembered. She’s going to find justice.”
She also did an Uber Eats commercial with a homosexual celebrity saying, “The LGBTQIA will always have my support.” When she was criticized for that, she tweeted, “the world we live in makes me sad, but I’d do a x1000000 more commercials with you jut to piss everyone off! The LGBTQIA will always have my support and feel welcome on my socials.”
Team member Jade Carey had liked a pro-police tweet, and when critized for it, apologized and groveled. She tweeted, “Liking the post was totally like a reflex by accident and I 100% stand by the blm movement and acknowledge police brutality. I am truly sorry and will be sure I never do it again.”
