No wonder the Democrat Secretary of State tried to keep him off the ballot.
I’ve made no secret of my support for Larry Elder. If I were still in California, I’d vote for him in a heartbeat. He’s intelligent and deeply principled, and California is in very bad shape. The good news is that I’m not the only one who likes Larry. It turns out that a lot of Californians are relieved that Bruce “Caitlyn” Jenner isn’t the only alternative to Gavin Newsom.
According to an Emerson College/Nexstar Media poll, there’s bad news for Newsom and good news for Elder. With the election coming up in September, currently, 43% of voters want to recall Newsom, while 48% want to keep him in office. If Newsom continues to re-lockdown the state, those numbers can be expected to get much closer – and the 9% of undecided voters will follow the trend.
Even more damaging for Newsom is the fact that, while a lot of voters aren’t enthused about kicking him out early, a large majority (58%) wouldn’t vote for him when he runs for reelection in 2022. Moreover, a plurality of voters gave Newsom a grade of “poor” on key issues: COVID, droughts, wildfires, and the homeless. If Newsom cherished any ideas of jumping from California to the White House, he’d better put those dreams aside.
And what about Larry Elder? It’s clear that those voters who want to get Newsom out, to the extent they’re thinking ahead, are most excited at the prospect of getting Larry in:
On the question of who they would vote for if Newsom was recalled, a majority (53%) of voters are undecided on a candidate. Within the field of candidates that currently have support, conservative talk radio host Larry Elder leads at 16%,

Illinois voters say hold my beer and watch this ...
Wait, you never heard of him but you knew he was a talk show host?
I only recently heard he was a talk show host.
Prior to that I had not heard of him in such a way that I could tell someone else who he was.
This is a conservative dude’s big chance to break out into the open, so if you’re a fan of his, please don’t use this to be snarky or you will very definitely LUZE this chance. Not everyone sits around on their butt all day listening to talk radio.
“We are all ignorant of that which we do not know.”
Some of us, in our self-judgment, are not.
I’ve already donated and volunteered to help his campaign. Luckily for me, I’ve known who he was for about 25 years.
Boom!
(that was the sound of exploding to 16%)
The Emerson College/Nexstar Media poll is meaningless unless it includes the dead voters, the double-counted voters, and the data made up voters.
He was doing local talk on KABC since 1993.
Did they poll the Dominion voting machines?
…With Virginia voters close behind.
The people of California were likely disenfranchised by so much fraud they never even had a say in the election.
I like Larry Elder and plan on voting for him
Agreed. Larry Elder can exercise the veto and bang the bully pulpit -- and he should do that -- but to effect real change, he would need to strike to kill. He should begin by waging war on public corruption. Surround himself with serious, take-no-prisoners prosecutors -- not celebrity whores addicted to the talk shows, but mean, tough, "I want to send people to jail" types. Release everything a governor can release on shady contracting, sweetheart deals and political favoritism, turn the lawyers loose, and practice scorched earth lawfare.
Never heard of him...but quite willing to smear his supporters as something less than conservative.
Take the log out of your eye, bub.
California's delegation for the 117th Congress has a total of 53 members, with 42 Democrats and 11 Republicans. This gives the RATs a 31 seat advantage , more than enough for them to seize the House. This lopsided tilt is due to the corrupt system of voting the RATs have built over time.
Since California has voter initiatives Larry could push for one to clean up the election process in California. A victory by Elder would drive a stake thru the Democrat Party's evil heart. You can bet they are afraid of this man. Very afraid.
Did I mention Elder is also a lawyer? The man knows what he is doing.
Bullshiite. I expect the RINOs to be very vocal about him and they probably are . How is that “smearing his supporters”? It aint, so back off, bub. Take the log out of your own eye and learn to read.
Emerson polls not to be trusted, but neither is election integrity in any state, including of course CA.
Elder has been fighting for the conservative message for years. I never thought of him as governor material, let alone big-state governor material, but I’d go with him in a heartbeat over the options.
The wise man, nature happy to explore. The fool is happy that he knows no more.
