A wild black bear and a domestic dog struck up a bear-y pawsome friendship.
Jenn Sargent, who owns a German shepherd, discovered that her pup made an unexpected friend during a shocking backyard playdate caught on her security camera.
The Vermont resident, 37, was attending to her household chores when her neighbors notified her that her dog Jameson was playing with a bear in the grass.
Left to his own devices, Jameson was seen in the video footage attempting to get his new backyard bud to join in a game.
Ultimately, Jameson did succeed and the two new friends chased each other around the yard and the wild bear rose up to its hind legs eager to play along.
Sargent, a mom of two, said she was amused by the footage but was also relieved her pooch didn’t bark up the wrong tree with the 150-pound bear.

Dont tell us about bear in Vt killing a residents german Shepard when it happens
Just out of frame the bear ate the dog...
Just be glad that momma wasn’t around.
I dunno about you, but it creeps me out when I see a bear standing upright on its hind legs. Don’t know why; it just does.
This will not end well.
Who really is shocked over this? Both probably part of BAM! - Black Animals Matter!
I don’t mind that, it’s when they start juggling and reciting bad poetry that I get freaked out
Step 1: Bear loses fear of domestic animals.
Step 2: Bear loses fear of domestic animal’s domesticators.
Step 3: Cop or weapon-owning homeowner shoots bear dead.
Very cool.
Both are young and dumb at this point.
I have 3 large German Shepherds…….that pack mentality kicks right in for bears, elk, deer and coyotes here where I am.
It’s all fun and games until someone loses an arm.
There's a Constitutional right for bears to keep arms.
In at least one location in Alaska, polar bears habitually play with sled dogs (which live out-of-doors year round).

This has been going on for several years with none of the dogs yet eaten by the bears.
The theory is that all intelligent lifeforms use play as a safe means of trying out new ideas. The bears stop by on their way to go hunt seals and they apparently see more benefit to the dogs being playmates than using them as hors d’oeuvres.
Just as creepy seeing a demonicrat vote.
