The fact that vaccinated people were even hospitalized is a bad sign..getting the virus is one thing, but having to go to the hospital means you are pretty darn sick..so again, what was the point of the vaccine
In my region on a consortium call of six major hospital systems today we discovered that in the largest urban and suburban areas the are just over 800 cases of COVID hospitalized, and 82 % are serotyped as delta varian. Of the just over 800 people in the hospital, only 3% are vaccinated. Of those in critical condition 0% are vaccinated. Of the 18 deaths MTD — all are NOT vaccinated. The average length of stay of a vaccinated patient with breakthrough infection is 2.3 days, the average LOS of a non vaccinated patient is 5.1 days.
These are the raw data. I am sure there will be much discussion and interpretation — but it appears that the vaccine is doing what is was intended to do. 95% effective at blocking disease, and 100% effective of stopping critical illness and death.

The vaccinated patients do not get so sick and fewer die. This is a general statement, but I do not have the statistics showing the specifics. With more digging, I might have them . . .
This is EXACTLY what one virology expert expected
1. Large number of people vaccinated
2. "vaccine" does NOT stop you from getting and carrying C-19, it just makes it less severe by setting up your body to recognize the spike protein and attack it
Those vaccinated will shed virus but since they are vaccinated, the mutated virus will naturally be more severe rather than less because of the vaccine
The more virulent strains will be more and more vaccine resistant until those vaccinated do NOT have a defense because their natural immunity has been destroyed by the vaccine.
Back to the original question: WHY?
IMHO, the vaccine is all about setting up a vaccine registry, if you aren't on it, you don't travel, you don't go in stores, you don't work, you don't have kids in your house....
Once they have LARGE numbers of people on lists, then it is EASY to add criteria to that list:
FREEREPUBLIC user would definitely be a negative, as would Trump supporter, as would NOT supporting Uncle Joe's agenda
It's easy to turn that vaccine passport into the Chinese Social Score system. Then even the best patriot will be broken when they try to use their credit card or even a debit card, and it is BLOCKED!
The Community Organizer assigned to your case might require re-education before you are allowed to live in society again. If you resist too much, then more dratstic measures will have to be taken, up to termination. But don't worry, your body parts will be used to help more productive members of society.

That there are just 143 in hospital for this reason out of 9 million plus people, of which maybe 2 million are especially vulnerable due to age and other conditions.

Do the math. The article says only 1 of the people hospitalized is a child. Therefore, accepting this article's information as accurate, it would appear 58% of the hospitalized are from the 85-90% of the fully vaccinated Israeli adult population and the remaining 42% are those not fully vaccinated from the 10-15% of the adult population.
As an illustration using these percentages, say you have 1 million adults. 850,000 of them would be vaccinated and 150,000 are not. Out of the pool of 850,000 people, you get 58% of the hospitalizations. Out of the pool of 150,000, you get 42% of the hospitalizations. The chances of hospitalization are therefore much, much lower for the vaccinated vs. unvaccinated, and it isn't even close.
