Staind frontman Aaron Lewis has a musical message for liberals: He loves his country and his flag, and he’s tired of watching the Left tear the nation apart.
In a new song titled “Am I the Only One,” released just before the July 4th holiday, the singer asks:
Am I the only one who quits singin’ along
Every time they play a Springsteen song …
Am I the only one sittin’ here
Still holdin’ on, holdin’ back my tears
For the ones who paid with the lives they gave
God bless the U.S.A
I’m not the only one, willin’ to fight
For my love of the red and white
And the blue, burnin’ on the ground
Another statue comin’ down in a town near you
Watchin’ the threads of Old Glory come undone

Lewis’ patriotic fervor angered leftists like popular music blogger and longtime critic Bob Lefsetz, who wrote a scathing review of the tune.
“It’s HEINOUS!,” Lefsetz said. “This middle class, right-wing wanker has recorded a song that should have been played at CPAC, in between speeches by nitwits like Lauren Boebert saying to refuse the “Fauci ouchie.”

Omg my childhood, when everything was idyllic but I still loved all these emotion metal ballads singing about topics I had no clue about LoL.

Sounds from reports that this song is getting no radio time. Conservative radio talk hosts should play this song.

Why do we always have the crappy bands and muscicians on our side? Staind is one of the worst bands of all time.
This would be an interesting experiment:
Record two versions of the same song - one with pro-America patriotic lyrics like this, and one with typical leftie Bruce Springsteen-like woke lyrics.
Put both out and see which one is more popular.
(The problem would be YouTube censorship would make an even playing field impossible)

He does it live as If “I were a liberal” sometimes. He also cusses big time in certain live venues.
Had no idea he made the switch to country. The wife and I like Staind for a little while. There’s a song on their second album where he sings about feeling a little guilty for being happy about having made it big. That’s a good indicator of his character.
Born in Vermont and then his hippy parents split up and he went and lived with grandpa in Springfield MA. Grandpa did good. He was hunting when young and is a bow hunter. I guess country was inevitable.
