There were 57K deaths in Scotland in 2019, or about 4750 a month. There are 5.6M people in Scotland and 3M have been fully vaccinated. Based on the numbers, deaths are slightly above normal for the month and possibly elevated due to the vaccine, but this is more fear mongering from the anti-vax crowd just as the pro-vax crowd does on the other side. The real concern will he what the numbers show in 2-3 years.

The primary problem with straight-lining Scotland's fatalities is that it ignores seasonality in death.

The majority of deaths in most countries can be attributed to causes that feature a distinct seasonal pattern. The figure depicts the relative monthly frequencies of nine selected causes of death in the United States for women and men combined for the years 1959–2014. The reported number of counts in parentheses in the title of each panel is the actual number of deaths.

If we eyeball the July bars in these bar charts, and assume Scotland's seasonal pattern follows that of the US, fatalities in July are about 7% of total yearly fatalities. Applying that percentage to Scotland, the July fatalities should be 3,990. This would imply that Scotland had roughly 1500 "extra" fatalities in July.

I agree with you. The report did not actually publish the reports from the government...lots of GIGO type of reasoning....sounded like doctrinaire antivax agit/prop. That said...why didnt government go with old school vaccine. Why mess with rna? Or dna? Why not spike protein blockers? Why no info on simple pharmacological treatments? Why is it all vax, all the time? The provaxxers are not without their faulty reasoning either. The vaxxers got poop on their face cause fully vaccinated test volunteers get infected anyway.
