Astrophysicist and author Carl Sagan managed to predict a lot of the things the challenges America faces in the year 2021 all the way back in 1995 when he was writing a book published just before his death in 1996. MSNBC's Brian Williams shares the details

I have a foreboding of an America in my children’s or grandchildren’s time — when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what’s true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness… Brian Wiilliams is so dumb, that he does not realize Sagan's quote is a Trump campaign commercial

If Sagan thought Star Wars was implausible, then he would have really hated Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.

You have to forgive Brian Williams.
He suffered brain damage when his helicopter sustained damaging enemy fire over Iraq. ; )

Ideed they were. Had thee story even hinted that The Creator or one of His creations,Angels, created the worm-hole expressways through the Universe, they might even have been prescient.

He comes so close to that line, over and over—and then wimps out and says “then the Big Bang happened quite by accident...”
“Then life began due to randomness and quite by accident...”

And he was talking Brian Williams, and other journalists, as well. Poor Brian doesn't even make that connection apparently.
But honestly I was talking about how education really was dumbing down our future generations back then, and I am no genius. Even though I was a product of that dumbing down process, my parents had given me enough information for me to see that as I got older. That's when I started educating myself more. Still missed a lot, but not as much as many others had. 😋
In other words, all it really required was to pay attention to what was happening.
In fact there was a book Published September 15th 1996 by St. Martin's Griffin (first published 1995):

So Carl wasn't fore-telling the future at all, he was seeing what was going on and commented about it.

You can bet that he was in on the planning to make this happen. It was all planned out. How to manipulate people and destroy western civilization. The prize is to control everyone and everything.

When Sagan said “superstition” it was his way of casting aspersions at religion.
Little did he realize that his beloved secularism and science would be transformed into little more than cargo cult symbolism by leftists. Of course the cargo cultists have no clue they are about as scientific as a seance.

Surely Carl Sagan was on the mark except America had become a service related country two years before he claimed it was become a service state.
The day Clinton signed the NAFTA agreement America became a second rate country. That was 1993.
Strangely that was exactly what Trump attempted to change by forcing China with Tariffs and enticing manufacturing to return to the U.S.
Joey Xi has changed it all back to the status quo and is allowing the Covid resurgence by spreading unvaccinated and Covid infected illegal aliens to be spread around the country.
