Astrophysicist and author Carl Sagan managed to predict a lot of the things the challenges America faces in the year 2021 all the way back in 1995 when he was writing a book published just before his death in 1996. MSNBC's Brian Williams shares the details

The first part of the interview Sagan sounds like the author of CRT, but then Brian Williams quotes Carl Sagan from his last book, and my god it sounds like today, and Brian Williams thinks Sagan is taking about us great unwashed, but Sagan is surmising about, Soros, Bezos, Zuckerberg, and company.
Poor ol’ Carl always thought with the Little Head.
It was just a question of which one was littler.
Of course, Peter Jennings thinks we’re the ignorant ones, and he and his ilk are the saviors of the universe.
But, much of his thought was where he was going to get his next batch of marijuana.
Of course he did. He was a science gatekeeper, leading people astray. Science popularizers fill a very specific intelligence psyop role.
Here he was complaining how the original Star Wars had too many white people:

Yeah but he was right about Chewbacca. Why didn't that homie get a medal too?
Star Wars had too many people and too many hominid creatures. Life on other planets is likely be viruses, germs, slimemolds, etc.
It was completely lost on Brian Williams that Carl Sagan was talking about him and the rest of the media/establishment.
And now Cark is out there among the billions and billions ... I did watch his COSMOS program regularly though. Surprisingly, his explanation on dimensions has aided me in explaining what happens in The Rapture. Who woulda thunk it!
The difference between then and now.
Sagan’s catch phrase would be “Trillions and Trillions”, not “Billions and Billions”.
Seems like he got it absolutely correct...
I have a foreboding of an America in my children’s or grandchildren’s time — when the United States is a service and information economy; when nearly all the manufacturing industries have slipped away to other countries; when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority; when, clutching our crystals and nervously consulting our horoscopes, our critical faculties in decline, unable to distinguish between what feels good and what’s true, we slide, almost without noticing, back into superstition and darkness…
Cosmos was a blast. Parts of Contact were very clever too.
However, Brian Williams is taking that quotation from Sagan and implying it applies to Trump voters. That’s how all his leftist viewers will take it also.
Yea, and I’ve been predicting the downfall for the past 50+ years.
I have watched “Cosmos” a googolplex times, first when it aired on PBS, then on DVD, but with age I have noticed the pinko-commie-lib stuff he snuck into the show more and more, especially the “surrender our nukes because we (i.e the West) will blow up the planet” propaganda wrapped in a turtleneck sweater and corduroy sports jacket with elbow patches beta male ensemble ...
*** Star Wars had too many white people:***
But the movie was full of all sorts of aliens! And not just illegal ones put outer space ones!
Hence the distinction between Science Fiction like “Star Trek” and Science Fantasy like swashbuckling “Star Wars” or “Flash Gordon.”
For years I would pop in Cosmos and listen with my headphones while doing some kind of task. Sewing, model building, etc.
