The case of a patient who experienced two facial palsies – one after the first and another after the second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine – strongly suggests that Bell's palsy (facial nerve palsy of unknown cause) is linked to the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, doctors write in the journal BMJ Case Reports.

"The patient had a high BMI, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes."
"Risk factors [for Bell's Palsy] include diabetes, obesity, hypertension, pregnancy, pre-eclampsia and upper respiratory disease."
Bell’s Palsy is a rare adverse effect of vaccines in general. It is a mostly temporary effect of face drooping on one side.
I kept seeing Taco Bell’s palsy.
My brother has crohn’s disease and his Dr told him not to get Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine because it uses live virus
I has Bell’s Palsy in the Fall of 2018.
There is a genetic link…….seems to favor the Irish but that’s being explored more.
It is also linked to the Zoster family of viruses. (Chicken Pox, Herpes, Shingles).
Steroids and/or anti Viral medications can quickly help with symptoms.
I took only the Steroids and they were very effective.

Also the eye on one side is paralyzed……kind of stays half or mostly open.
I had to wear an eye patch and use drops to keep it moist.
Other than that…..nothing serious.
Thought I was having a TIA at first though.
For being rare it sure happens a lot
Too bad there is no way of seeing if what you reported shows in their statistics.
For years I avoided getting the flu vaccine, but then after getting flu I decided to get the vaccine. Less than a year later I developed Bell’s palsy. I know there was a connection, even though the medical experts said there is no link.
So one reported case out of what millions? Must be the vaccine

Agreed.
It can be hard to file a report. If calling in, the CDC is not picking up the phone, according to many doctors and patients.
If filing online, you have a lot of data to type in, but the system logs you out without warning every 20 minutes so you have to start over from the beginning...and type fast.
According to the guy who filmed his effort filing a VAERS report for his father, upon completing the form, he only got a 'temporary ID' so he wouldn't be able to locate his report in VAERS. Just one more way you can't find out if what you reported shows in their statistics.
Now, according to a whistleblower, there were an additional 45 thousand reports of death in CMS, one of the 11 database systems that feed into VAERS. The whistleblower said she saw 45K in CMS that were not in VAERS. Gotta hope that's wrong, but the way the CDC has been withholding publishing reports and pretty much lying to everyone, everyday, I fear it is not.
Bell’s palsy from Pfizer was reported and described in detail in early December 2020.
It’s not common, but not rare either with most vaccines.
Yeah, I ended up having to get goggles for riding my motorcycle, as my eyes would dry out too much in wind. I'm a part of the 1-2% of people it never really goes away from. I still can't really smile. That's OK though. Don't have much reason to most days.
The vaers system was very easy to report. It is a text message based system. Just signed up on phone and sent in the report. Cancelled it after a month.
It sounds like you’re referring to V-Safe. That’s a separate system the CDC created. Those vaccinated get a document inviting them to register for V-Safe. Only 6-7% of those vaccinated ever sign up for it.
THe CDC should have made a phone app for VAERS, but then people would report adverse events in a centralized, public location, and the CDC doesn’t want that.
So they created V-Safe, a text system for the cell phone, which will be kept private. Staff may, if they decide to, call people reporting issues. Staff may, if they decide to, upload V-safe reports to VAERS.
I believe V-Safe was created for the purpose of making sure ‘too many’ reports didn’t go directly into VAERS. WEll, still, VAERS gives itself 4-6 weeks to vett every report it receives, so that’s not ‘direct’.
But instead of centralizing data in VAERS, the government has created 11 systems that CAN feed VAERS data. It seems like V-safe was to starve VAERS.
Interesting. I had my second Shingles Zoster vaccine dose last week.

I had a Shingles vaccine about 6 years ago. Mine was just one dose.
Must be different types.
What got me moved to get was an in-law got Shingles and it was around and on top of her eyes!
I thought, nope, I don’t want possible blindness.
She recovered really well though.
I had Lyme disease and experienced bell’s palsy and the paralysed eye, had to do the same thing with the drops and patch
