The sneaky delivery was spotted by hotel staff, who notified Queensland Police.

The woman in quarantine was fined $1,300 after she was interviewed by police.

Queensland hotel quarantine guests can order food from the outside world, but not cigarettes - though they can smoke on balconies if the hotel permits.

So if you’re quarantined, you can’t smoke. I posted a brief video that showed someone in a car calling out to someone in the fenced quarantine area. They were calling to each other - not close at all. A quarantine ‘handler’ came out to tell them they couldn’t speak. They insisted those in the car go to the office to request to speak to the person quarantined. Both the quarantined man and people in the car disputed that, saying he was free to speak to whomever he wished. The ‘handler’ told him he would be reported.

This wasn't (and isn't) quarentine.
