Leyna Bloom Becomes Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue’s First Trans Cover Model

Leyna Bloom, a biological man who identifies as a woman, has become the first openly trans cover model in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue history.

Bloom’s dream of landing the front cover of the sports world’s most famed magazine began in 1997, after looking through the pages of the Bikini Bible on her father’s coffee table, Page Six reports.

“When they told me I got the cover, I spoke to my dad,” Bloom told Page Six.

“I was like, ‘When I was looking at that magazine … I was looking into my future. You were giving me the tools I needed to see myself, to know that I could be there, that I could inspire, that one day I could be a part of this.’”

“This cover and this moment represent what it looks like in the future,” Bloom said while remarking on the significance of landing the magazine cover.

Bloom added, “Being a person of trans experience growing up in the world, there was no representation of that [in fashion], so I felt like I could never do this.

The Swimsuit Issue’s cover star saw the pursuit of the cover as an exercise in creating a new genre.

I look … and the first thing I hear/see in my head is Mick “Crocodile” Dundee, bar scene, from 1986:

“That was a guy! Guy dressed up like a Sheila!”

How boomer of me, I know, but who back then would have guessed that Klinger from MASH was way ahead of the times and would be our new normal in 2021?

“Sports Illustrated went from weekly to 39 editions annually in 2017 and, a year later, SI officially became a bi-weekly — 26 issues plus four seasonal previews and the ever-hypocritical Swimsuit Edition. But the clincher came with the last issue in December 2019 when it was announced that Sports Illustrated would become a monthly starting in January … 12 issues plus five special editions including the Swimsuit.

Reportedly, half the staff — 40 employees, 13 from the editorial side — was let go.”

Very true and I agree with you.

God help our grandchildren as they enter adulthood.

SI must be desperate for sales. A tranny on the cover...it will sell just because people are curious.

As far as I am concerned, Sports Illustrated is done when they get involved it the queer stuff. People buy the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue because they wish to see pretty females modelling the latest in swimsuits. They do not wish to see a man who has taken hormone pills to look female. They are simply not interested in that. When they realize they have been fooled into buying the magazine for that, it will be the last year they will be buying it. Just watch!

Doesn’t have far to go to end as a faded memory like Look magazine.

Both ESPN and SI are creating a new sport: they’re making a game of how many sports fans can dig through all the wokey BS to find real sports

Thank God I’m not dating anymore. Landmines. Landmines everywhere.

They've always been there. A generation ago, you could have dated and married someone who put you and the kids through hell before later deciding to "transition". Since these individuals are now encouraged to embrace their true selves, they're more likely to proudly tell you all about their "true self" BEFORE you enter any relationship with them.

These individuals need to be encouraged as much as possible, including being on the covers of magazines.

Strangely enough, there are no photos of her as a man, no reports of where she allegedly had her surgeries............

Looking at her photos, there are absolutely no features on her that would indicate she was once a man. From her hands to her musculature to her lack of adams apple.......

She is a woman and this is the biggest fraud ever perpetrated by SI in taking advantage of the Trans movement.........
