When companies go woke

In their race to make obeisance to or profit from Critical Race Theory, America’s companies are advancing policies detrimental to shareholders and the public.

We live in an age of both public and private tyranny. Self-determined parameters no longer define our lives. We used to feel secure, with family, friends, work, and shared histories and beliefs. Now, artificial constraints are imposed from all sides, with fancy names endorsing “diversity and inclusion” and decrying “unconscious bias.” We all know these phrases are false and vacuous. Diversity blatantly excludes conservatives, and bias against them is the norm.

These constructs serve to divide us into those who see what’s happening with alacrity; the seemingly willfully blind, who just don’t seem to care about their hypocrisy; and those that want to make their name and fortune by fixing your erroneous thoughts.

The Biden administration wants to spy on us, even reading our texts. Bidenistas want friends and relatives to tattle on us, too.

SNIP

As a concrete example, corporate entities have publicly bowed to wokeness. If you scroll down to the end of this CEO pledge to “diversity,” you’ll notice that 1,670 large, public companies endorse what it says. They embrace and pay lip service to CRT, despite it demeaning a broad swath of our society, including, most likely, themselves.

What amazes me is that these same companies opposed Trump’s every action.

Coke’s “Wokeness” has had an unintentional benefit to me. I quit drinking Coke (I’m too white!) and then after a few weeks, stopped drinking all soft drink products.

I am losing weight and feeling a lot better.

Of course, I am still feeling very “White”.

All of these companies are based in blue cities in blue states. We have to understand that Red State America is a colony, with all our wealth being exported to the cites by these corporations.

I don't understand how companies consider CRT as a profitable strategy for the long-term.

Perhaps they don't care about their customers and are preparing for a future in which government bureaucrats have ultimate control over which businesses survive (usually by overregulation and bribery). We are becoming China fast.

The "wokeness" was downstream from their other failures and/or changes in consumer behavior.

These woke companies, especially in the sports irritainment industry, have been facing declining numbers for years and are desperate for anything to get a bounce.

Target, for example, suffered huge losses for their failures in Canada and was losing sales to Amazon.

Woke-a-Cola has been suffering declining sugared drinks for more than a decade.

Gillette was losing market share to online subscription services such as Harry's.

You've answered your own question. Big corporations know the federal government can destroy them through any number of ways. Get woke or go broke.

We should never forget none of this would be happening had the Left not cheated during the last election. They had to buy off a few GOP'ers to turn a blind eye, but mostly it was the Left and their media that made it happen.

How do you have a nightmare while being “woke”?

Encouraging higher employee engagement: Deloitte research showed that company diversity is directly related to employee engagement. Higher employee engagement can lead to higher job satisfaction, which in turn, can lower the turnover rate.

*************

I call BS on this stat.

Where I work there is higher than average turnover...and trust me....we're woke.

**********

For example, if a team member unquestionably follows their manager’s instructions to write a report in a way that matches the manager’s opinions, this could jeopardize the integrity of the report.

This is comical....if the boss wants a report written a certain way and you don't write it that way and try to cite "unconscious bias" nonsense.....good luck with that.

Yeah--agreed--the "study" violates all common sense and my experience in the work force.

Companies are creating new hostile and sullen workforces--and should not be surprised if their operations get degraded big-time.

It shouldn't be profitable. Tax them into oblivion. These corporations want leftist policies, let's give it to them.

I'm very much in favor of raising corporate taxes.
