As the Delta variant rapidly spreads, US hotspots have seen climbing cases — and an expert warns a “surprising amount” of Covid-19 deaths could soon follow. The US is averaging about 19,455 new cases over the last seven days, a 47% increase from the week prior, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. And a third of those, CNN Medical Analyst Dr. Jonathan Reiner said, come from five hotspots: Florida, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri and Nevada.

“We will start to see an increase in mortality in this country,” Reiner said.
What is particularly frustrating for many experts, Reiner said, is that the deaths are “completely avoidable” now that vaccines are available.
But about one third of those 12 and older in the US haven’t received the vaccine yet, CDC data shows.
“The vaccines we have work really well against this variant. It doesn’t need to be this way,” Reiner said.
“In places like Missouri where ICUs are packed, you’re going to see a surprising amount of death,” Reiner said on Sunday.

This is from Baltimore, not Boston.
Still BS…
Way to spoil the surprise.

PoV, Democrats waited for the everyone to had access to the vax before releasing the deadly pandemic to cull the herd of Conservatives/
I was repeatedly told in early 2020 that I didn’t have COVID, despite being hospitalized twice.
Nasal swab in early April came back negative.
Pulmonologist in late April confirmed COVID scarring all over my lungs.
I second your sentiment...follow the science, my a$$!
Were you vaxxed?
😴😴😴
And, both ate 💩holes.

Selling fear like a cheerleader’s mom.
Thank you. I had a positive PCR test (which the inventor said was not suitable as a diagnostic test). However I was very sick for 5 days with inflammation of muscles. Probably from binding of the ACE receptors in the blood vessels. Never entered my respiratory system.
Fatigue lasted two weeks. But it was far less traumatic than double pneumonia, meningitis, Swine flue, broken back and pelvis and other injuries I have sustained.
Covid was a walk in the park by comparison to other diseases or injuries.
Weren’t 110 million supposed to be dead by now, with like 20 million being Americans? Come on, man!
Welp, is China gonna target those areas and release another version of Covid to ‘teach vax deniers a lesson’?
27 deaths across the entire country over the last day.
Wishful thinking. A liberal hallmark.
“...or being a pedestrian.”
Quite a few times in the past year, I’d be walking down the sidewalk by myself unmasked. Another pedestrian coming toward me (all masked up) would get terrified and step 10 to 15 feet off the sidewalk into the roadway! All to avoid an outdoor 100 millisecond pass-by of another person. Their chance of getting killed in the bike lane or roadway was millions of times higher than getting killed by contacting COVID from me.
People are notorious for being unable to accurately assess extremely small risks.
My state moved several counties back into “yellow” because there were a whopping ONE confirmed case in each
