When I fell off a 3’ ladder, I watched as the same injury happened to my left ankle.
Ten surgeries in 8-months, never could fix. Now fused and non-functional, constant dull pain. Disabled for life and need a cane to hobble around.
Awful injury.
One of the things I did in the army was teach unarmed combat. Any one of my students would kill these idiots in seconds flat. They don’t fight, they compete at a sport.

Had same injury if I recall...fell on ice...foot was turned backwards...in a snow storm I was cleaning the car off as it was really coming down...doctor my wife was seeing did not get his drive cleared....Not sure of the spelling but tri malalor fracture. Its where the tibia and fibula and ankle come together. Had 26 screws in 4 plates and two lag screws into the ankle to hold the broken off pieces...Still remember the Dilaudid :) a full year to heal. NOT FUN HOLLERING FOR HELP IN A SNOWSTORM :( prayers to Colin
