This 1941 M3 Stuart tank is a riveted-hull light tank that was produced in November 1941 and reportedly sent to Australia for training purposes until 1946. It remained in the country until it was acquired by the current owner in 2018 and reimported to the US. The tank is powered by a replacement gasoline-powered 668ci Continental W-670 seven-cylinder radial engine that sends power to the tracks via a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a manually rotating turret, a de-milled M22 gun with a shoulder mount, a Mark 19 radio set, and canvas seatbacks. The fuel lines and filters were replaced in preparation for the sale. This M3 Stuart is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner in Los Angeles, California, on a bill of sale.

Buy it for Alex Jones as a surprise. Didn’t he ride in a tank to some protest?

Yes.Here is the unbiased coverage in Newsweek, Jan.20, 2020:
Alex Jones traveled around Virginia’s capital in what appeared to be a battle tank and addressed the public through a bullhorn ahead of a gun rights rally.

Thousands of gun rights activists, as well as far-right groups like the Proud Boys, have descended on Richmond, Virginia, gathered for the rally early on Monday, HuffPost reported.

Radio host Jones also appeared to start his day well before the rally was due to begin. He was pictured in the city in a black vehicle bearing the logo for InfoWars, his right-wing conspiracy website.

Current bid is $15,027. I would have guessed more, what with car prices so high

That battle tank was more like a F150 with a bunch of extra steel to make it look like a HUMVEE.

I’m no Alex Jones fan but I saw him at the rally. It was nowhere near a tank

I’d drive a Stuart to a BLM protest just to offend the easily offended on different levels.

Years ago there was a British Ferret scout tank, more like a battle wagon, for sale nearby. Had tires instead of treads. Street legal.

Pretty cool. I seem to recall that when I was a kid there was a comic book for a time that featured an M3 Stuart tank and crew that got regular visitations from the spirit of J.E.B. Stuart his own self, who gave them free advice and tipped them off on what the Krauts were up to and stuff like that.

One assumes that they made it home alive in ‘45...
