‘Batman’ Writer Says Marvel, DC Comics Promote an ‘Obvious Political Agenda’ (Chuck Dixon)

A prominent writer of “Batman” graphic novels has slammed the two biggest American comics publishers, saying they churn out low-quality content and promote an “obvious political agenda.”

Chuck Dixon targeted the “big two” publishers — Marvel and DC Comics — for a verbal lashing in the most recent episode of his podcast Ask Chuck Dixon.

“Because what’s out now, for the big two, is, for the most part, poorly crafted,” Dixon said, comparing them to Japanese manga. “There’s a few exceptions, but for the most part, it’s poorly crafted, poorly conceived. There’s an obvious political agenda to everything and there’s no variety.”

Dixon also decried the glut of superhero titles.

“There really isn’t anything else at the mainstream companies,” he continued. “It’s superheroes, superheroes, superheroes. And they’re all avatars for the writers’ political agenda. And they’re kind of tiresome. They’re not particularly well drawn. They’re not particularly well-realized.”

Dixon is still very active in comics and writes novels, also.

It all comes from education today. They indoctrinate the kids and when they graduate they infest anything you can possibly imagine including comic books. I talk to college kids all the time on Twitter, Instagram, it’s the only reason I use it so I can debate these little sh—s. You know when Mark Levin will mention some leftist celebrity and he’ll say “He’s down for the revolution” That’s what these students actually say! They call it a revolution and they see the USA as the enemy. “You’re not part of the revolution!” I had one idiot tell me the Marxist revolution will get rid of the poor and make everyone middle class. I told him go back and study history, but this time real history.

The LAST of the true comics came out with Green Lantern’s Blackest Night. If you are a comic collector, almost anything before 1998 was for the masses..not a lefty slant agenda. I know a dude on Ebay who sells the vintage comics and that’s what sells now.

In addition, I work at Warner. You go to their animation department, the heads of the departments are almost ALL lefty fags. The animation drawing is top notch and post production in Vietnam and Korea are excellent but they do as what the stateside guys tell them.
