Port-au-Prince, Haiti (CNN)Two US citizens are among more than a dozen arrested in Haiti in connection with the assassination of President Jovenel Moise, a top government official said Thursday. Elections Minister Mathias Pierre told CNN two US citizens were allegedly linked to Wednesday's attack. Pierre identified the men as James Solages and Joseph Vincent, both naturalized citizens from Haiti.

Meanwhile, the coronavirus pandemic has been worsening in Haiti. UNICEF, the United Nations' children's agency, said Thursday that Haiti was the only country in the Western Hemisphere to not have received a single dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
This part of the story caught my eye, because I also rea that three African leaders were also assassinated recently and they were also unwilling to distribute the covid vaccine.
Just a coincidence?
The nation of Haiti is a basket case of economic failure. I seriously question the idea that any leader could do anything to bring about economic strength for that country.
I agree....and the people aren't exactly willing to help themselves either. International rescue groups who went there during their earthquake said Haitians were the first society that stood their and watched everyone else do the work, very few were willing to step up and those that did were interested in personal gain.
ChiComs want to take over all Hispaniola.
Maybe.
The Haitian government has asked our country for troops and support, so theres a good vote of confidence. Haiti recognizes Taiwan, and these jokers broke into the Taiwanese embassy (so they could get it in the news that they were arrested at the Taiwanese embassy?)
They claimed to be DEA agents to gain access to begin with.
Interesting...
Speaking to internationals who have worked in Haiti they said average iq is in 40s. Anyone with any ability left decades ago. Kindest solution they suggested would be to end reproductive ability and caretake. I was shocked
Line breeding does go both ways.
When it is that bad, would it really be so unkind as to sterilize the worse, while supporting them or training them for base occupations and slowly work the population back up to a normal IQ over generations?
I think Haiti could be a good tourist country eventually.

They’ve had 200 years of degradation. It would probably take 200 years of healing them.
American citizens??????
THEY ARE HAITIANS!!!!
The media is indeed the ENEMY.
I wasn’t concerned about the story, except that one detail I listed.
In the end it will be because one thief rejected another’s theft.

I’m not sure our present policy of relocating them by the millions to the US is all that great either without the above, as they simply repopulate at whatever rate they need to.
There is more to this story. Most people of the assassins they captured are Columbians. This seems to be a hit ordered from outside the country.
I read the two Haitian Americans were hired as translators.
Maybe not. But it was just the Astrazeneca vaccine he refused. Wanted J&J’s.
The drug cartels have run that country for too long and it is in bad need of a house cleaning.
Any ideas yet about who hired the hitmen?
"They're like a car traveling in the dark without lights"...The poverty and misery in Haiti are human created....The root causes are the political and economic systems which have dominated Haiti for the whole of her 182 years. Best that can be hoped for is repeating bad to worse and back again.
Being Mercenaries pays big bucks.
Getting caught? Priceless.
