Need some input concerning using Ivermectin
terart

Posted on 07/09/2021 6:43:54 PM PDT by terart

HI all, My family has all been diagnosed with Covid and all very sick.

I started everyone on the protocol by EVMS which says to take a dose on day 1 and day 3. Unfortunately, on day 6 we are all still very sick. Should I restart the Ivermectin?

I mentioned arithromiacin,

The drug is azithromycin, a commonly-used antibiotic. To treat (preferably early-stage) Covid it was prescribed in addition to hydroxychloroquine. It sounds you are not in the early stage.

You need another doctor, NOW. If you know any doctors or nurses personally, call them. Call emergency rooms. Make a pest of yourself. You may need to call an ambulance.

“Ivermectin is normally injected subcutaneous and is long lasting fat soluble”

Oral ivermectin is also widely used now and works in a few hours. Follow the MATH Plus protocol. Fantastic results, tens of thousands of patients.

Not a doctor and don’t know what is best. These (with links) are what I found last year:

12 mg a day for five days if positive for Covid or symptoms. (https://www.ijidonline.com/article/S1201-9712(20)32506-6/fulltext)

“For early outpatients with COVID-19, the protocol calls for one dose of ivermectin at 0.2 mg/kg at day 1 and day 3, along with the same daily vitamins and 325 mg per day of aspirin.”

https://www.healio.com/news/primary-care/20201208/this-was-a-gift-to-us-ivermectin-effective-for-covid19-prophylaxis-treatment

“100 patients with Mild/Moderate COVID-19 (Coronavirus disease) infection received a 4-days course of Ivermectin 400 mcg/kg body weight maximum 4 tablets (6mg / tablet) once daily dose before breakfast plus standard of care as issued by Egyptian protocol of COVID-19 treatment.”

https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT04668469

From a package meant for horses: “This syringe contains sufficient paste to treat one 1250 lb horse at the recommended dose rate of 91 mcg ivermectin per lb (200 mcg/kg) body weight.” 91 mcg times 1250 gives 113,750 mcg or 114 mg/tube.

https://www.statelinetack.com/contentfiles/Associated_Content/BimectinInfoSheet.pdf

12 mg would then be about 1/10 of a tube.

“Here:

Print it, take to doc, imsist they follow it. If not, get another doc. Call them (website), they will guide you to online docs who will prescribe and you can have the proper drugs in hours.”

this is what we are following but we have taken the 2 doses with the day in between and I am trying to figure out if we should start again

“I-MASK+ Prevention & Early Outpatient Treatment Protocol for COVID-19
Below you can download the I-MASK+ Prevention & Early Outpatient Treatment Protocol for COVID-19 with guidance on the timing and doses of each component medication. Further below please find more information on the I-MASK+ Protocol.

The I-MASK+ Protocol complements our MATH+ Hospital Treatment Protocol for Covid-19 from March 2020, which is intended for hospitalized patients. Both are physiologic-based combination treatment regimens developed by leaders in critical care medicine. All component medicines are FDA-approved, inexpensive, readily available and have been used for decades with well-established safety profiles. In October 2020, we added ivermectin as a core medication in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.

The protocol document is available in several languages (see below) – more translations are available here. This is not a medical advice, but a recommendation – please consult your doctor, share the information on this website with her/him, and listen. Please review our Disclaimers!”

It sounds like you are monitoring oxygen saturation with a pulse-oximeter, and that is good. Even a mild case of COVID can be rough. Like a really bad flu. The next few days will probably suck, but you are going to be OK. Call your Doctor or the hospital, keep them apprised and follow their advise. Use the pulse-oximeter a few times a day. If things get worse, go to the hospital.

Do NOT listen to internet doctors. Ivermectin is not proven effective. The last 2 independent Random Controlled Trials showed no benefit.

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2777389

“Findings: In this randomized clinical trial that included 476 patients, the duration of symptoms was not significantly different for patients who received a 5-day course of ivermectin compared with placebo

Meaning: The findings do not support the use of ivermectin for treatment of mild COVID-19, although larger trials may be needed to understand effects on other clinically relevant outcomes.”

https://bmcinfectdis.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12879-021-06348-5

“Ivermectin had no significant effect on preventing hospitalization of patients with COVID-19. Patients who received ivermectin required invasive MVS earlier in their treatment. No significant differences were observed in any of the other secondary outcomes.”

It’s not clear that it helps but it shouldn’t hurt you.

https://www.covid19treatmentguidelines.nih.gov/therapies/antiviral-therapy/ivermectin/

“Ivermectin has been shown to inhibit the replication of SARS-CoV-2 in cell cultures. However, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies suggest that achieving the plasma concentrations necessary for the antiviral efficacy detected in vitro would require administration of doses up to 100-fold higher than those approved for use in humans.”

“Since the last revision of this section of the Guidelines, the results of several randomized trials and retrospective cohort studies of ivermectin use in patients with COVID-19 have been published in peer-reviewed journals or have been made available as manuscripts ahead of peer review. Some clinical studies showed no benefits or worsening of disease after ivermectin use, whereas others reported shorter time to resolution of disease manifestations that were attributed to COVID-19, greater reduction in inflammatory marker levels, shorter time to viral clearance, or lower mortality rates in patients who received ivermectin than in patients who received comparator drugs or placebo.”

Ivermectin is better than nothing.
But monoclonal antibodies have proven to be much, much, better.

See a doctor, a real doctor.

The main Ivermectin research group includes Vitamin D in their inpatient hospital protocol, as follows:

1st choice: Calcifediol preferred: 0.5 mg by mouth day 1, then 0.2 mg by mouth day 2 and weekly thereafter
2nd choice: Cholecalciferol: 20,000–60,000 IU single dose by mouth then 20,000 IU weekly

Calcifediol (also called calcidiol) is a fast-acting vitamin D. Regular D3 has to be converted to Calcifediol in the liver before it is used, and this can take 7 days.

I hope this helps. This is Dr. Kory’s treatment. He has an additional hospital protocal.

Hope this helps.

EARLY OUTPATIENT PROTOCOL3
lvermectin1
0.2–0.4 mg/kg per dose (take with or after meals) — one
dose daily, take for 5 days or until recovered*
Use upper dose range if: 1) in regions with more aggressive variants;
2) treatment started on or after day 5 of symptoms or in pulmonary
phase; or 3) multiple comorbidities/risk factors.
Fluvoxamine4 50 mg twice daily for 10–14 days
Add to ivermectin if: 1) minimal response after 2 days of ivermectin;
2) in regions with more aggressive variants; 3) treatment started on
or after day 5 of symptoms or in pulmonary phase; or 4) numerous
comorbidities/risk factors. Avoid if patient is already on an SSRI.
Nasopharyngeal Steamed essential oil inhalation 3 times a day (e.g. VapoRub)
Sanitation and/or chlorhexidine/benzydamine mouthwash gargles and
Betadine nasal spray 2–3 times a day
Vitamin D3 4,000 IU/day
Vitamin C 500–1,000 mg twice a day
Quercetin 250 mg twice a day
Zinc 100 mg/day
Melatonin 10 mg before bedtime (causes drowsiness)
Aspirin 325 mg/day (unless contraindicated)
Pulse Oximeter Monitoring of oxygen saturation is recommended
(for instructions please see page 2 of this file)
* The dosing may be updated as further scientific studies emerge.
1 The safety of ivermectin in pregnancy has not been established. A discussion of benefits vs. risks
with your provider is required prior to use, particularly in the 1st trimester.
2 To use if a household member is COVID-19 positive, or you have prolonged exposure to a COVID-19
positive patient without wearing a mask
3 For late phase — hospitalized patients — see the FLCCC’s MATH+ Hospital Treatment Protocol for
COVID-19 on www.flccc.net
4 Some individuals who are prescribed fluvoxamine experience acute anxiety which needs to be carefully monitored for and treated by the prescribing clinician to prevent rare escalation to suicidal or
violent behavior.
