This was long before today's defund the police while cannonizing the criminals insanity. The County Sheriffs out this way share that opinion. There are some people that just don't need to be walking this earth.

If he robbed a bank and didn’t understand why he was arrested would they let him keep the money? Arrest the State psychologists or at least give the the violent psychopath a ride to their houses.
State case workers are incompetent and unable to do their jobs which is as much to protect the citizenry as well as the potential patient.
The prosecutor is totally incompetent and should be fired immediately but this is Red Seattle where the criminal is “good” and the victim is “bad”.

You just need to have your finger on the pulse of the local LE and DA to find out and make sure YOU will not be going to jail for defending yourself.
But that would be cruel. They should give him the man’s apartment, and put the man in jail for being mean.
This guy is a murderer! Of a child! And he’s been out and about since 1999? And even then, in 1999, hey said he had an extensive criminal history. This person whose house he broke into could have been killed.
I’m not disagreeing. i was pointing out that his alleged mental incompetency seemed suspiciously rational.
