I once had a conversation with a Dallas cop about home invasion/hot burglary type situations and he flat out told me to put 'em down permanently or the DA would plead them down to some BS lesser charge just to lighten their work load.

This was long before today's defund the police while cannonizing the criminals insanity. The County Sheriffs out this way share that opinion. There are some people that just don't need to be walking this earth.

You just need to have your finger on the pulse of the local LE and DA to find out and make sure YOU will not be going to jail for defending yourself.
