President Donald Trump spoke about the political persecution of January 6 election integrity protesters during remarks made on Wednesday, stating that he believes he knows the identity of the man who gunned down unarmed Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt inside the Capitol.

Speaking about the Capitol protest events of January 6, Trump stated, “That was an unfortunate event, I say, though, however, people are being treated unbelievably unfairly. When you look at people in prison, and nothing happens to Antifa, and they burned down cities and killed people. There were no guns in the Capitol, except for the gun that shot Ashli Babbitt, and nobody knows who that man were.”

“If it were the opposite way, that man would be all over, he would be the most well-known, and I believe I can say man, because I believe I know exactly who it is, but he would be the the most well-known person in this country, in the world,” Trump continued, “but the person that shot Ashli Babbit, boom, right through the head. There was no reason for that, and why isn’t that person being opened up, and why isn’t that being studied? They’ve already written it off, they say that that case is closed. if that were the opposite, that case would be going on for years and years, and it would not be pretty.”

That pic was taken in Lansing Michigan inside of the Michigan Capital building. Firearms were allowed to open carry then, now only Carry permits are allowed in the Capital.

You're right; I made a mistake. That image is from the militia storming the Michigan state capitol, not the 1/6 riot. Sorry about that and thanks for bringing it to my attention. My eyes must have skipped over the "Michigan" part.

If you're interested in the exact charges being brought against the Capitol rioters here is a table listing them. No mention of shots fired, but some mentions of knives, tasers, and yes guns being brought to the Capitol.

Ask why is there a cover up?
Why are over 500 people been arrested for a peaceful event?
Who were the officers who let everyone in as seen in the photos.

I’m familiar with what happened at the Capitol. Including how Pelosi rejected repeated requests for security. Including left wing groups that took on the appearance of Trump supporters. I watched a few changed appearances right on camera outside.

Was that image you posted of a militia ? Or of guys who legally went to the Michigan Capitol? Did they threaten anyone ?

I’m still wondering why the same concern was not noted in 2011 when the Wisconsin Capitol was seized for a MONTH. Costing millions of dollars in expenses not to mention the injuries. Every room and office of the WI Capitol was broken into. They refused to leave.

Originally only 52 people were arrested that day. However they reviewed recordings and arrested the rest later at their homes. In comparison to the close to 500 that were arrested during the riots in DC alone. Then they were let go of course. But, Could you imagine how many more would have been arrested if they reviewed recordings and arrested those people at home as well ? Imagine the number of arrests nationwide last summer. And the riots continue. I refuse to buy into how one situation is worse than another. Well actually I view the never ending riots worse. They are not being handled so they are continuing.

Sorry for the second post, but an additional thought occurred to me just as I clicked ‘post.’ All Republican members of Congress must know the shooter’s name, but none have come forward with the truth. Not a single one.

Also, until Putin challenged them, had any member of Congress said or done a damn thing about Ashli Babbitt??

Trump is politically isolated. His own party will not support him on 1/6 and the stolen election in general. He had to let the temp go down a bit and let some time pass. Lately we’ve started to see some GOP types starting to speak the truth about 1/6. As time goes on we’ll see more and that will provide Trump support on his flanks.
