Albert Bourla, the CEO of the COVID-19 vaccine maker, Pfizer (PFE +0.1%) thinks that life will return to normal by the end of this year for developed countries and by the end of 2022 for the rest of the world.
Taking part in CNBC Evolve Global Summit, he also stressed the importance of making enough vaccine doses available during that time “for most world leaders” to successfully implement their immunization campaigns.
“I think the whole world will have enough volumes [of vaccine doses] by the end of 2022 to vaccinate, to protect everyone,” Bourla said, adding, “I think that by the end of this year, the developed world will already be in this situation.”
Bourla also revealed that Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech (BNTX -7.5%) reached a milestone in COVID-19 vaccine manufacturing last week as the duo completed the production of 1B doses.
Recently, it was reported that the U.S. government was planning to purchase 500M Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine doses to share with the world.

Not if the DemocRATS and their butt kissing (and everything else) media have anything to do with it.
Know the enemy and be prepared to make them regret it.
There is not a reason in the world why life can’t return to normal TODAY in the US. Other than the desire of progressives to exercise their power.
End ALL mask mandates (including in airports and on planes) and other COVID-19 restrictions NOW.
No more Antifa?
No more communist “educators”?
No more sexual deviants preying on the children?
That would be normal.
By the end of 2022, big pharma will be even richer. There’s no reason the world isn’t completely open right now! It’s all money, money, money!
Just which normal is he talking about???
No booster for this rooster.
Its Ivermectin for me from now on, thereby guaranteeing that my life will be “normal.” I can normalize myself, I do not need this One WORLD GEEK TO DO IT FOR ME.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has upgraded their recommendation for the “miraculous” drug ivermectin, making it an option for use in treating COVID-19 within the United States.
The result comes one week after Dr. Paul Marik and Dr. Pierre Kory—founding members of the FLCCC, along with Dr. Andrew Hill, researcher and consultant to the World Health Organization (WHO), presented their data before the NIH Treatment Guidelines Panel.
A press release from FLCCC explains the “new designation upgraded the status of ivermectin from ‘against’ [the drug’s use] to ‘neither for nor against,’ which is the same recommendation given to monoclonal antibodies and convalescent plasma, both widely used across the nation.” “By no longer recommending against ivermectin use,” the statement said, “doctors should feel more open in prescribing ivermectin as another therapeutic option for the treatment of COVID-19. This may clear its path towards FDA [Food and Drug Administration] emergency use approval.”
“Ivermectin is one of the world’s safest, cheapest and most widely available drugs,” explained Dr. Kory, President of the FLCCC Alliance. “The studies we presented to the NIH revealed high levels of statistical significance showing large magnitude benefit in transmission rates, need for hospitalization, and death. What’s more, the totality of trials data supporting ivermectin is without precedent.”

Wouldn’t it be nice to return to a true normal? No commies working to destroy the USA. Teachers not obsessed with bogus racial problems. No BLM. No trannies and their stupid “story hour” ruining our children (or parents taking their kids to this rot).
There are so many ways we could return to normal. Getting over a relatively short pandemic is a piece of cake compared to eradicating all those pathologies infecting us.
Free beer tomorrow.
A) Sweden passed a lockdown law in January and put major restrictions on movement in place shortly thereafter. Those restrictions were gradually lifted beginning in May. https://www.dw.com/en/coronavirus-swedens-new-covid-lockdown-law-takes-effect/a-56185101
B) Sweden still saw a 3% contraction of their economy in 2020. While they didn’t enforce lockdown measures until January of this year, they did have a whole host of voluntary measures for individuals and requirements for businesses to operate safely. That 3% contraction is better than much of Europe, but still a significant hit. https://www.reuters.com/article/sweden-economy/swedish-govt-sees-milder-downturn-in-2020-slower-growth-next-year-idUSKBN28Q1VZ
I support Sweden’s initial approach of giving businesses the tools to stay open while still reducing transmission. They did fail (and have admitted so themselves) at protecting the elderly, which jacked up their COVID-19 deaths, but had they done a better job there, I think they would have come out ahead of most both economically and in deaths per million. As it stands, they’re still just 35th in the world in deaths per million, which is pretty decent. But it’s important to recognize the reality of what’s happened in Sweden, including their economic contraction and their lockdown measures in 2021.
Only if Donald Trump is back in office.
Sweden refused to lock down during the pandemic. How is the country faring now
“Journalist Mallory Pickett, who recently wrote “Sweden's Pandemic Experiment” in the New Yorker, says the country's coronavirus response was led by top epidemiologist Anders Tegnell, who didn't agree with the idea of a lockdown.
“He and his colleagues really felt that from a public health perspective that the lockdowns didn't make sense. If they closed down the schools, then they would lose a huge amount of their health care workforce because they would be at home taking care of their kids,” she says.
Instead, the country's strategy surrounded physical distancing, limiting large gatherings, and staying home while you're sick.”
3% contraction in the Swedish economy huh?
So tell me...by how much did the British and the American economies contract March to March? Vastly worse than a mere 3%. Every way you look at it,Sweden did VASTLY better than the US. And with no compulsory lockdowns.
COVID-19 cases up in nearly half of US states: analysis
Well, I linked to the actual law being passed, and here’s another link to statements from the prime minister of Sweden as restrictions were tightened in February after that law was passed: https://www.businessinsider.com/sweden-facing-its-first-lockdown-as-covid-19-restrictions-tightened-2021-2
Sounds like the New Yorker did some crap “journalism”. This is my surprised face.
As for their economic performance, I explicitly said that much of Europe did worse. My point was that Sweden wasn’t spared an economic contraction. In fact, Sweden’s economic contraction in 2020 was the same as that of Finland and Denmark (3-3.5%). Norway actually did better than all of them with just a 1% economic contraction. https://www.bbc.com/news/55949640
Um, this is from Reuters in January 2021 about Sweden and NO lockdowns:
Sweden tightens COVID rules, but still no lockdown

What more ya got?
Spare me the fearporn. The 7-day moving average of daily new cases in the US is down to 12,063. A week ago it was 13,264. A week before that it was 12,076. In other words, it’s flat.
Cases in the US are flat. I don’t care if half the states had 3 more cases this week than last week because apparently the other half had 3 fewer cases. COVID is going away. The fear train has left the station.
Yepp - the story is necessary, “Xiden-Harris defeat Trump’s virus” to give a patina of (il)legitimacy to the installation of the demonkkkraps via voter fraud and censorship as determined by the oligarchs.
