I’ve been aboard the Wisconsin.. toured it after it was brought for permanent display at Norfolk’s Nauticus.
Certainly not our current “woke” military.
When I lived in Bremerton, WA, back before the MO was shipped to Hi-waee, we got to tour her. Those main guns are HUGE. I could stick my head inside the opening of the barrel and not touch any side of it. That was ONE BIG PISTOL shooting down range. They had a marker on the deck where General Mac sat and signed the surrender of the fallen sun.
Geez, the breech block on that gun likely weighed more than my car.
You wouldn’t catch any of theses wussy ANTIFA commies or leftist poofters in real battle. They would all be crying for their mommy having already wet their pants just thinking about being shot at.
I saw the USS Alabama and USS Drum in the 1980’s.
Not enough time spent there though. Didn’t get to walk around the aircraft.
I attended the recommissioning of the Iowa at Ingalls Shipyard in Pascagoula, MS in 1984. When the command was given to bring the ship to life, it was a thrilling scene.
Many relatives and friends worked the Iowa.
One of the pics at the link shows the USS Shangri-La doing an unrep. My mom’s brother (an uncle i obviously never knew) was killed aboard Shangri-La in the South Pacific campaigns.
Amen! Land of the free because of the brave!
