It's a surprising competent crossover from Ford with an interior that punches above its weight class. With the success of the Mach-E and the pending launch of the Lightening - which will be even bigger - it's not impossible that Ford could begin to rival Tesla in total EV sales within the next three years.

Doesn’t look enough like a Mustang for my taste.

With the success of the Mach-E...2,465 Mach-E's in a month and 12,975 in half a year for a brand spanking new model, isn't success.

Well, different strokes for different folks.
I’m sure Ford saw a use case for electric vehicles that they could make $$$ on. Good for them.
I’m not going to begrudge a person for their own choice.
Just don’t mandate mine.

Is the very corrupt, Democratic-controlled federal government subsidizing the EV industry?
With significant (imo) problems with EVs in winter and summer, I'm not going to invest in one anytime soon.
Insights welcome.

Mach-E
Does the "E" stand for, "Edsel"? That sold pretty well at it's initial roll out, too.

I was stuck in a two hour traffic jam from a wreck just last week during the heat wave here out west There were two teslas on the side of the road sans juice in the batteries. I laughed.

All the Mustang has to do is not drive into semi trailers or burst into flames while being driven and it will pass up Tesla.

There is a place in the world of Free Enterprise for rich man’s toys.
Would I invest in a car company that bets the bank on electric cars? Nope.

Just remember Ford sold a butt-load more 1958 Thunderbirds (the ones with the backseat) than they ever sold in 1955, 1956 or 1957; the classic two-seater models.
So ask yourself which one would you rather have today?

Maybe the numbers are like that because you can’t find a regular Mustang on a dealer’s lot
