I grew Black Cherry tomatoes...little guys and Krim which are purplish red and green and truly awesome.

Only golden or orange tomatoes have the best lycopene (cis-lycopene) in the highest doses. Some golden or orange tomatoes can have none, if found to be high in Vitamin A.

Red tomatoes have around 5% of their lycopene as cis-lycopene, while the golden or orange can have 80+%.

The other main form of lycopene is trans-lycopene, which is poorly used by our bodies.

Any gardeners here ever try the red plastic tomato mulch? It’s supposed to increase the yield by 20%.
