Good Source for Handguns
Posted on 06/30/2021 4:54:34 PM PDT by Mean Daddy
Have a friend who had their .22 S&W Ladysmith 317 hammerless stolen and is trying to find a replacement but cannot locate one via normal channels like www.gunbroker.com www.auctionsolutionsinc.com or www.proxibid.com.
It appears to be a fairly rare model but not sure where else to look.
Any insights are appreciated.

The hammerless J frame in .22 lr is actually the model 43c, all the 317’s will have exposed hammers.

Our last price on them was $659, so that price is not too far out of line.
We haven’t had one in probably a year.
Some places with no availability have as much as $750 price tags.

I've found that the site Gunsinternational offers much more choice, eliminates the whole bidding game, and carries better quality and again, much more choice.
Gunsinternational allows you to deal directly with the owner of the firearm, or with a gunshop that happens to carry it.
No codes and passwords or countdowns.
 Give it a look.

I recently did a search on Gun Genie for a certain revolver I want (S&W Model 629, 4" bbl). Searching for variants and getting frustrated, I searched for
any handgun, in stock, within five hundred miles. Zip, zero, zilch, nada.
Good luck

S&W seems to be focused on getting as many guns out the door as possible and polymer guns are much faster to produce than revolvers.
We have had most M&P’s in stock through this whole rush, but revolvers are hard to get.

If you have a Rural King in your area they have great prices on new firearms.

The grip absorbs quite a bit of the recoil as opposed to some revolvers which seem to rely almost entirely on your hand and wrist to absorb recoil. How can you talk about recoil and 22 in the same thread?

Did you take a look at Gunsinternational?
They really got worked over during the firearms/ammo rush.
They were selling $500 rifles for $$1,000 etc.
When a nice lever fung of most any kind came up for sale it was gone in an hour.
I looked at it a couple days ago and it is still pretty lean.
Anyway I hope it wasn’t a disappointment.

It looks like a good site to bookmark. Thanks!
