I recently did a search on Gun Genie for a certain revolver I want (S&W Model 629, 4" bbl). Searching for variants and getting frustrated, I searched for any handgun, in stock, within five hundred miles. Zip, zero, zilch, nada.

S&W seems to be focused on getting as many guns out the door as possible and polymer guns are much faster to produce than revolvers.
We have had most M&P’s in stock through this whole rush, but revolvers are hard to get.
