Near miss with a little spotted fawn, yesterday. Glad I stopped in time! Mama was across the road; I’ll bet ‘Fawny’ got put to bed without supper last night. ;)
That happened to me the other year. I’m driving down the parkway during our little rush hour and notice the traffic on the opposite side was slowing down. I stopped just in time to miss a deer bounding across the lanes.
I started to go again and there’s Bambi, right behind mom. Missed him by inches. I would have felt so bad if I’d killed the little one.
