BARABOO (WKOW) – A Baraboo Walmart employee was able to tackle a deer that got into the store this week.
A 27 News viewer recorded a video in the store when it happened Wednesday. The video shows an employee on top of the deer, to keep it from moving through the store.
The witness said the deer got into the store somewhere in the back of the building.
Managers at Walmart declined to comment on the incident.

So, circa 1995 a large white tail buck somehow managed to get into an Ashland, VA furniture store in mid day.

That happened to me the other year. I’m driving down the parkway during our little rush hour and notice the traffic on the opposite side was slowing down. I stopped just in time to miss a deer bounding across the lanes.
I started to go again and there’s Bambi, right behind mom. Missed him by inches. I would have felt so bad if I’d killed the little one.

That’s one I’m hoping to avoid, here in Deer Country. The only thing I’ve hit in 44 years on the road has been a squirrel.
We’re in no danger of running out of squirrels. ;)
She slapped a cheese head cap on the deer and let it go.
