RT America is proud to announce the premiere of “I Don’t Understand,” hosted by world-famous actor and author William Shatner. 'I Don’t Understand' will see Shatner seeking to answer fascinating and timely questions that pique the natural interest of everyone, but that the establishment media all too often hesitates to tackle.
From “should I worry about space debris falling from the sky?” to “are we alone in the universe?” to “what is dark matter?” to “what was before the Big Bang?” each episode will bring the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor face to face with some of today’s most perplexing conundrums.

I wonder if he will tackle the question: What do women want?

"Probably, don’t forget the Star Trek movies, thye were pretty good, "
Only Star Trek stuff I ever saw was the movies.
Not a TV type back then or now.

Will Russian Television require Shatner to speak with an accent like Chekhov?

"Jeez, every time I see a headline start with: “Legendary actor...” my first thought is that they just died."
You're not alone. My eyes automatically jumped to end of the title for the dreaded result, which gladly didn't come.

True, but is Mr. Shatner really ”world-famous”?
The Star Trek TV series and movies does it by itself, as they were aired and screened internationally. Heck, he was doing Esperanto movies in the '60s. It doesn't get any more international than that! The "Tek War" science fiction books had an audience in the entire English speaking world. He got to record the wake up call for the international space station. Yes, he was happy to slum doing TV game shows (Pyramid, Tattletales), Priceline ads, Oldsmobile, regional Canadian supermarkets, and what TV series came his way (T.J. Hooker, the sometimes excellent Boston Legal). He doesn't quit. He's beyond world famous. He's the Shat.

"Of course he is. I’ve been in love with him since I was seven years old."
My daughter-in-law, age 35 is in love with him too. They live outside Indianapolis, and went to a convention a couple of years ago. She got to meet him, and have her picture taken with him.
For anyone interested, I found a site that gives Shatner's upcoming appearances:

From the collective replies on this thread I think the answer to my question is probably “Yes.”

I’ll even cut some slack for the sitcom TJ Hooker. Come on, we're talking Heather Locklear in her prime, here.

I agree. Shatner seems like he has a great sense of humor; he does so many things. People see him as trustworthy. So they used Priceline. :)

He outlasted Carl Sargan!

Legendary because he was on a fairly short run TV show or two?
Well known? Yes. Legendary? No.

I love me some Shat, but the thinned down part? He recently did a commercial to help Mike Tyson pimp his CBD pain cream, and it's funny, but he looked like a fat pigeon:
