I don’t think so. Pickles by themselves are like Mexican jumping beans in the tummy. I just tried making french onion soup for the first time(slow cooker). Easy and fantastic. You can make lots and store it in the freezer/fridge. Then buy the good cheese/bread when you’re in the mood.
Twisted Root burgers always has flavored pickles. Most are regular flavors, some are daily specials. Some are darn good ... some are “WTH were you thinking” bad.

I grabbed some Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning and Salad Dressing Mix not too long ago. You can make ranch dressing by mixing it with water, milk and mayo.
The wife sprinkled some on chicken wings that come fully cooked and frozen and she roasted them in the oven. Yummy flavor. Probably because it has MSG in it as I just now read.
If you like pickles, you might want to try potato salad with pickle juice added.

I’ve become obsessed with Bell-View Dill Kosher Midgets. There is so much garlic floating around in the bottom of the jar, and I add some red pepper flakes to it.
I crave pickle and peanut butter sandwiches, preferably sweet & sour pickles.
Here in Tennessee some places make a moonshine pickle. The pickles are soaking in a jar of moonshine.
when I make potato salad I use a lot of pickle relish in it. usually 3 or 4 good spoonful’s (as much as you like)

Made freezer pickles last year. Yum!
Minced dill pickles add nice zing and crunch to deviled eggs.
Claussen makes a hot dill that will blow yer head off

I think it is foul, disgusting and overall not food, but a torture device.
Pickles OTOH, are GREAT!
That sounds great (French onion soup). Did you have to cook a ton of onions in a skillet to caramelize them, first?
