Why are these people celebrating the Republican Party’s ouster of slavery and slave-holding Democrats? I thought most of these “kinds” of people would favor Democrats. I think they gave their wires crossed (by the news media). In 1865, the Republican Party was founded on this principal. Juneteenth is a REPUBLUCAN celebration and holiday.
