You can’t say it’s gross if you’ve never tried it!

Cats vs. dogs. Hots dogs vs. hamburgers. Love dolls vs. drowned corpses. The list of opinion-battles that humans have pitted against one another for centuries goes on and on.

But none is more hotly contested than one debate: pineapple on pizza vs. oh hell no.

One of our Japanese reporters, Saya Togashi, didn’t know where she stood on the issue, having never tried it before. Thankfully, Pizza Hut Japan decided to put an end to that era of her life with their new release: the Bulgogi Festa, a pizza divided into quarters, each of which share the topping of Korean meat bulgogi.

NO. I once had a pizza called the ‘Kitchen Sink’ pizza. Among the many ‘usual’ ingredients was pineapple and anchovies. Absolutely disgusting. I was sick for days and couldn’t eat pizza for years after.

I grilled some fresh pineapple last night - hot and fast. It was fabulous. Just keep it off of pizza.

In Hong Kong, if the Pizza has pineapple on it it also has 1000 island dressing rather than marinara sauce. It is absolutely disgusting.

I probably don’t want to know what bulgogi is.
Bulgogi is simply a Korean marinade for beef which is savory, slightly sweet and also delicious.
Easy to make but I buy it from Amazon, via South Korea. Lots of recipes and information online.

I use to work at Pizza Hut many years ago when they had a huge rectangular pizza called ‘Bigfoot’. I would make a custom version for the crew with 2 dozen or so choices among the slices.
