Day 470 of “15 Days to ‘Flatten the Curve’” – Year 2, Week 14: “Delta Dawn” Edition
Today marks 15.5 months since the institution of the infamous “Flatten the Curve,” AKA The Deep State’s Plot to Drive Us Crazy, Make Us Stupid, and Take Over the World (in order to make the world safe for China and/or the Deep State and/or New World Order crew to take it over).
As readers of this series are aware from prior posts, I do not believe that the Deep State is done with us despite the increased numbers of maskless faces we have seen these last few weeks. I think the opening of the country, removal of mask mandates, etc. is just a tease before further psychological manipulation returns at the end of the summer.
Maybe it won’t take until the end of the summer. Let us review some postings on FR from the last 72 hours:

I refrained from posting my own posting on this subject out of sense of fairness.

470 days to build facilities and train care-givers to deal with any “surge.”
That this has not been done is a stark indictment of the egregious abuses by government over the last year and a half.
The Newsoms of this nation were unwilling to act in the interest of the people, and more than ready to garb themselves with dictatorial prowess.
It is heart-breaking.
The United States of America seems like a faded rose from days gone by.

Imho all of this craziness we are currently experiencing will culminate in and with a coup de grace of the US. There are just too many traitors on the inside of our gates to stop it.

Indeed. I was putting the trash cabins out on the curb last evening. A guy was walking down the street by himself all masked up on my side of the street. He got within about 100 feet of me, saw me (no mask) putting the bins out, and he promptly crossed to the other side of the street!
Outdoors, stiff breeze, two people passing by for 100 milliseconds — there is ZERO chance of catching it.
There are two million people in Santa Clara County. We are now getting 5 new cases a day. There are probably 200 active cases in the county, so your chance of randomly encountering a sick person is 1/10,000.
Our town of 20,000 has had a cumulative case count of 445. Maybe there are 2 active cases today, again 1/10,000.
The sheer stupidity of people like that guy on the street is astonishing. His risk of stepping in front of a passing car by crossing the street is FAR higher that catching COVID from a guy putting out the garbage.
i’m not believing any of this covid crap any longer since biden opened our border during a so called “global pandemic”...
At some point....Remember...Cuomo was surprised that 60% of the new cases were people had been "quarantined" for no reason.

I had dinner last night with a friend I hadn’t had the pleasure of seeing since last summer, since we only live in the same town for a few months a year. (She has a second home in Florida, and returns to the Midwest for the summer months). Anyhoo, she mentioned something about how awful it’s been during lockdowns, and how glad she is to have things opened up again here. I agreed. Then she said she heard that we may need to lockdown and wear masks again in the Fall. I told her very quickly that I’m never wearing a mask again. Never. I wore one sometimes so that I could shop and not get run over by Karens, but I’m not doing that again. I’m just not. So done with this. Viruses gonna virus and masks and lockdowns cause more harm than good.
The problem is we have so many people who simply don’t use the brains they were given.
The most depressing thing about being 470 days into the '15-days', is the number of freepers who still believe anything at all that the government says.
It's not really surprising, as I remember the number of authoritarian apologists that were here back when the 'patriot' act was news, but it's still somewhat disappointing.
The nanny state is still alive and well, even here.
Here we go again. The fascist shutdown of a once great country will restart. They let us have a few days off this summer, but are seeing how the folks are fighting back against the tyranny. They (the communists in the dem party) are not going to allow us to enjoy freedom of movement or of speech. The rebellion will be suppressed, and the march to totalitarianism will resume.

I’ve learned, after many frustrating years, that most people, even really intelligent ones, don’t usually think that way. Rationally, I mean. Thinking is hard, especially when fear or pride or greed get in the way.

I worked in engineering, field service, and R&D most of my career, so my colleagues were all logical and analytical thinkers. This has been a real shocking eye-opener for me.
