...Wednesday ...Spears detailed in court testimony the “abusive” nature of the conservatorship that her father... obtained...
...(allegations) including that individuals involved with her conservatorship have forced her to take birth control, preventing her from having another child, put her on lithium after she disagreed with dance choreography, and forced her into concert tours.
...(on) Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, McGowan called Spears’ testimony a “cultural reset” and said she believes the pop star is “ready to blow the lid” on who has wronged her in Hollywood and what has been done to her over the last 13 years.
“...And I know it seems like one person but they’ve done this to women and humans and whistleblowers and people they don’t like and really like you said, Tucker, the people — the monsters in power — that control the puppet, not just her, but like the message it sends to every girl or every boy out there that you are disposable and the elite can own you...”
“I lived in Hollywood at that time [(she) shaved her head] and I’ve made it my life’s mission to tell all of you out there what so many of you really know deep down that fame and Hollywood and the media machine are rotten to the core and they do hurt and they do damage,”
...She got to speak for the first time, I believe, in her life honestly and openly and what has been done to her is horrific. And I know it’s like ‘Why should we care about a rich pop princess, right?’ But I think it’s deeper than that. And I think it goes to what you talk a lot about which goes to the rot and the machine and how society also plays a part in a weird form of oppression...

It won’t change Hollywood or the entertainment industry one tiny bit.
Spears is a victim.
We’re all victims lol
But she has $100 million and doesn’t look like a victim to me.
She has a net worth of $60,000,000.00. She can support her children on that. This is probate court, not divorce court. There is no issue of child support or alimony. No one can force someone to work who has enough money to support her children. And even if they could, they can’t make her sing well or remember the words if she can’t remember them. There is more to this story. Someone said “Stockholm Syndrome” upthread.
With that said though, she is now 39 years old so it's probably past due that it is dissolved. She may still be nuts though; only time will tell.
Word!
“and forced her into concert tours”
“How does that work?”
A contractual obligation?
Sly was offered the services of a lawyer to get his royalty payments resumed and corrected, and the lawyer who was a big fan, did just that. Sylvester Stone is no longer living in a van down by the river
Oh look, more #metoo BS. Whoops, used her initials by accident. If she weren't under guardianship, she'd be long dead. Now she's just a high-functioning crazy person.
Yet I read that she is given an “allowance” of $2,000 per month. If she refused to perform on demand by those controlling her, she wouldn't even get that. Every decision in her life is made for her including not allowing her to pick out the color of her new kitchen cabinets. How is this to her benefit?
According to her claims, she was taken off the medications she takes for her (bi-polar?) issues and was forced to take Lithium in order to make her more docile and compliant. She stated that taking Lithium made her feel drunk and out of it all the time. Her conservatorship/her father hired “nurses” and security guards 24/7 to ensure she took the Lithium that she clamed she didn’t want to take.
No one can force someone to work who has enough money to support her children.
They can if they tell her if she doesn’t perform, they will not allow her to see her children at all and or forced into a mental hospital for refusing.
There is a video of her performing in Atlantic City where she said on stage that she had a 102 degree fever.

She is IMO nothing but a cash cow to these people, her father and her lawyer. This is not about her best welfare but how to keep the cash flowing to them.
Parker was one of the biggest scumbags that have ever walked the earth. However, Elvis discovering speed in Germany didn’t help!
>>I expect she will be suicided anytime soon.
Dead musicians are easier to profit off of.
See Prince, Amy Winehouse, Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain,...
Weren’t his brothers feeding him cocaine and hamburgers in bed in the 70s to write songs for them?
People need to stop being “about to do something” and simply do them. Enough of these non-news stories.
Speaking with docents at Graceland and Tupelo was interesting. Vernon Presley was blamed for not stepping in to stop Parker’s aggressive management/booking activities. The story went along the lines that Elvis was not able to deal with his addictions etc. due to the stress of his career, and no one took a strong stand to help him. Who knows? I think media has occasionally promoted this.
She was locked up for 6 months in rehab. When they let her out, she went back to work earning money that her father gets full control of.
The father also controls what drugs she takes and had her on lithium for a while.
Hard to tell what’s true here. We do know that fame and money can make people evil and hollywood is a rotten machine when it comes to children, young women and young men. We also know the horrific things a parent can do to their children, all the way up to outright murder and torture. We see the stories all the time and most don’t even involve a multi million dollar motive. Just evil.
The court gave her father conservative-ship saying she had dementia 25 years ago but then she did 2 shows a day for 5 years in Vegas and has been performing ever since. Pretty amazing that someone with dementia for the past 25 years can remember choreography and the words to every song.
Well, it’s sad to say, but maybe that’s what you get when most of your “artistic” success is based on promotion and not real talent.
Like the line from Tuco in “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly”:
“If you are going to shoot, shoot; don’t talk”
