The highly contagious delta variant of the coronavirus is the greatest threat to the United States’ attempt to eradicate COVID-19, White House chief medical adviser Anthony Fauci said Tuesday.
During a White House coronavirus briefing, the head of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) said the variant now makes up more than 20 percent of all new cases in the U.S., a significant increase from nearly 10 percent two weeks ago.
The delta variant, first identified in India, recently became the dominant strain in the United Kingdom, surpassing the alpha variant first discovered in the U.K. in fall. The strain makes up more than 90 percent of new cases and delayed the U.K.'s scheduled reopening.
“Similar to the situation in the U.K., the delta variant is currently the greatest threat to the U.S. to our attempt to eliminate COVID-19,” Fauci said Tuesday.
“The transmissibility is unquestionably greater than the wild type SARS-CoV-2 as well as the alpha variant. It is associated with an increased disease severity as reflected by hospitalization risk,” he said.

In Springfield, Missouri, the low rate of vaccinations combined with the Delta variant has led to a six-fold increase in hospitalizations at CoxHealth, a health care system there, according to its CEO, Steve Edwards.
Over the past four and a half weeks, the number of patients has risen from around 14 to 83, Edwards told CNN on Monday, adding that the patients are younger and have more severe disease than previously — and almost all are unvaccinated.

Dr. Yeadon, former Pfizer Chief Science Officer, Allergy and Respiratory Disease Division, reported that those who have had Covid or similar coronaviruses have immunity to all Covid variants.
Researchers located those who had SARS1 in 2003 and tested them once again with SARS1. Those people were immune, indicating they maintained their immunity from SARS1 for 17 years.
Then they tested those same SARS1 people with SARS2 (Covid). They were immune.
SARS1 and SARS2(Covid) differ in 22% of their genomes, and that was not enough to end immunity.
The variants are only 1% to 2% different from Covid so if you have had Covid, or SARS1 or any number of similar coronaviruses, you are already immune.
The ‘threats’ of variants are to cover vaccination deaths and keep people locked down and obedient.
They’d have to be analyzing every case with multiple tests that can detect minor changes - along with already having tests for new ‘strains’ which I don’t believe they have. It’s magical how they manage to have tests that can detect new strains THAT DIDN’T EXIST BEFORE and know exactly which one you have. At the same time we know the PCR tests, when cycled too many times (as they have been), are completely unreliable.
This is all nonsense.
He needs to be arrested and tried for fraud, funding illegal/ill-advised research, and crimes against humanity. When found guilty, hang him high.
