Georgia police officer dead after being dragged by speeding motorist he shot, killed
A Georgia police officer and a motorist he pulled over for speeding late Wednesday died after the driver dragged the officer while attempting to escape — and was then shot by the officer.
The exact sequence of events that took the lives of 25-year-old Holly Springs Police Officer Joe Burson and 29-year-old Ansy Dolce remains under investigation. However, Holly Springs Police Chief Tommy Keheley told reporters Thursday that investigators believe Burson shot Dolce while being dragged by the vehicle.
Both men were pronounced dead at local hospitals early Thursday after receiving first aid.
“He was a model officer,” Keheley said of Burson. “If you had the ability to clone police officers, you would have wanted your police officer to be Joe Burson.”

I think it is a mistake for a policeman to ever reach into or hold onto or be in the potential path of a car with its engine running. I don’t know what policy is or what is taught at police academies but it seems like a really bad idea that causes problems way too often. More importantly, of course, a terrible loss.

After I figured it out I am upset about the cop being hurt and killed. The perp being dead helps just a little.
That's what the bullets are for!
Yeah, sounds like walking(driving) dead sort of thing.
