All I can say is that the Chinese are not mentioned in the story. Either the reporter ignored their participation or the Chinese disengaged from the Russians in the maneuvers. I know that earlier it was reported that they would jointly be doing naval maneuvers in the Pacific near Hawaii.

I suspect their damage control is not up to ours.

One of the biggest things that won several engagements against the Japs in WWII. If I remember correctly, the Yorktown was counted as three different carriers sunk by them because our crews could get her running again. We eventually had to torpedo her ourselves though.

Several of their ship classes are very short ranged and are obviously a coastal defense fleet. Their smaller ships have a range estimated at 200 miles.

Find their support tanker and they're toast.
