Meet Blondie the parrot, who sadly lost most of his feathers (and his ability to fly). Still, hasn't kept his spirit down.
Video, 3 minutes & 6 seconds
If you want on or off this list, please let me know.
Parrots are wonderful creatures.
Haha! Poor little bird...
Blondie certainly has personality.
Thanks for sharing.
Parrots have more native intelligence than most of our domestic bipedal wildlife........
Yup.
[it’s an insult to parrots to call liberals bird brains]
LOL!
My parrot approves whole-heartedly. :-)
I can’t resist...so I’ll leave this here, then duck
Parrot...
A woman went to a pet shop and immediately spotted a large, beautiful parrot...There was a sign on the cage that said $50.00.
“Why so little,” she asked the pet store owner.
The owner looked at her and said, “Look, I should tell you first that this bird used to live in a house of Prostitution and sometimes it says some pretty vulgar stuff.”
The woman thought about this, but decided she had to have the bird anyway.
She took it home and hung the bird’s cage up in her living room and waited for it to say something.
The bird looked around the room, then at her, and said, “New house, new madam.”
The woman was a bit shocked at the implication, but then thought “that’s really not so bad.”
When her 2 teenage daughters returned from school the bird saw and said, “New house, new madam, new girls.”
The girls and the woman were a bit offended but then began to laugh about the situation considering how and where the parrot had been raised.
Moments later, the woman’s husband Keith came home from work.
The bird looked at him and said, “Hi, Keith!” .
Heh! Loved that! :-)
Wonderful video. Thanks so much for posting.
Would love to be on the list :)
Added. As I told other FReepers, it’s a cat video list, but I also put up other animal videos as well (dogs, birds, other critters) if they look to be of interest.
While in college, I had a pet blue jay that I found abandoned...Billy loved to fly thru the levels of split level house we rented. He was a thief—always trying to steal food and objects. He lived in a basket/nest I made for him.
Kept him for a semester or 2, then brought him home and let him go at my parents’ home.
Sadly Let him go shortly before a bad storm hit—summer thunderstorms, found him on the ground in bad shape day after the storm...
Nursed him back to health.
Let him go again, and he was off and running with his new life/freedom. Although didn’t stay long at my parents’ house after college, my parents were certain Billy stayed near their house because for several years, there was a very friendly jay that would land on their deck railing and try to take hamburger buns (one of Billy’s favorite things to steal), etc...
Yep, he was a thief, but I really enjoyed him.
Your video and the one that followed brought back very pleasant memories :)
Well, I’m glad it brought back a nice memory. We have lots of Blue Jays in our yard, they love snatching up peanuts.
LOL they are very skilled thieves ;)
You can really see how birds evolved from dinosaurs. When he’s running around, he looks like a tiny dinosaur.
