Private security firms should be making a killing (no pun intended). Blackwater should forget government overseas contracts and focus on areas like this where companies are willing and able to pay for the security they need but can’t get because of a lack of law enforcement. If I was the CEO of a Fortune 500 company I would have the company’s HR department beating the doors down with big piles of cash for every Special Ops person in all the military branches who will say goodbye the a new military that no longer appreciates them and go to work for people who will.

Why isn’t anyone fighting them?
The Rapid Response team is made up of volunteers from the Portland Police Dept, for riot control.
The officers are no longer volunteering to man the RR team. They have not resigned from the Portland Police Dept. They are still cops with Portland PD. The reason the officers “resigned” from the RR team is because one of them is getting charged for excessive force.
Nothing will change except there won’t be a named team to control riots. Portland PD will just pick officers to work riots, instead of having a team of volunteers.
