Phoenix Suns All-NBA guard Chris Paul has entered COVID-19 health and safety protocols and is sidelined for an indefinite period of time, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.https://t.co/t7GrZjgKvV

— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) June 16, 2021

Chris Paul has been dominating the NBA playoffs and has the Suns in position to win a championship but is being indefinitely barred from competition after he tested positive for Covid.

ESPN’s Jalen Rose confirmed that Paul has been vaccinated.

Jalen Rose says Chris Paul has been vaccinated.

Hopefully that means he won't miss too much time after entering the NBA health and safety protocol 🙏🏼pic.twitter.com/5gCVqN4Cne

People are flocking to this quote like it’s proof that Chris Paul is definitely anti-vaxx or something. Have to keep in mind he said this as the head of the NBPA, and it doesn’t necessarily mean he was never vaccinated himself https://t.co/90pfMBvKHj

RE: LA Clippers vs Bklyn Nets is their dream.( I won’t say what kind of dream).

Don’t forget Atlanta and Philadelphia, they’re still in contention.

"The tests are unreliable......................."

Thank you. The main reason I won't take the vaccine is that there isn't a reliable test for the virus. For all they know, this guy's test could have been a false positive.

The Athletic, which broke the story Wednesday morning, reported the isolation period could be shorter for a vaccinated player, “depending on the medical circumstance.”

There is absolutely no reason why a vaccinated player should have a shorter isolation time than an unvaccinated player. This is pure politics. You either have Covid and can spread it or you don't, they just want to penalize the unvaccinated.

You would think for pro-basketball players they could get the right after-vaccination PCR test which ramps up the threshold for a positive test. Looks like he got the non-vaxer PCR test.

And, also, can't resist, these breakthru cases are only 0.00000(add infinite zeros here)000001% of the vaccinated

A new way to take out your opponent. A rigged, positive Covid test and they are out.

"For all they know, this guy's test could have been a false positive."

It's a little odd, isn't it, that first, Jon Rahm is DQ'd from the Memorial on a Saturday with a 6-stroke lead, and now the potential NBA MVP is DQ'd from the playoffs.

And neither were/are actually sick.

AND BOTH HAD BEEN VACCINATED.

We all know too well that there have been people power-tripping on COVID rules; but it's eventually going to come out that people manipulated testing to acheive a certain result in betting pools.

"AND BOTH HAD BEEN VACCINATED."

I got a call this morning from my Gastroenterologist's office. I'm scheduled for a couple of procedures next week, but have to go for a drive-thru covid test this Saturday at their building, and they had to change the time of my arrival. The recording said that if I was vaccinated, I didn't need the covid test. I called the office back and told the woman I hadn't gotten the vaccine, and couldn't understand why, if I'd had the vaccine, I didn't need to be tested, since you can still get the virus, and spread it, despite being vaccinated. Her reply was: "Oh yeah, that's right," and basically agreed with me, that not testing vaccinated people really doesn't make any sense.

Years ago, my oldest son had taken German in college, was starting to travel there regularly, and wanted to take some refresher courses at the local community college. He signed up for a German 101 night course, without having to produce any vaccination records. The next semester, when he wanted to add a second course, Russian, they told him he would have to produce his vaccination records. The problem was that a cat we had, had chewed up the card from the pediatrician's office, and it was unreadable, and since my son was in his 40's at the time, there was no way that Doctor was still practicing. He ended up not taking the second course. It just made no since that he wasn't deemed a health threat to be on campus to take one course without a vaccination record, but he would be deemed a health threat if he wanted to take a second course. It made no sense because it's New York State stupidity.

“...they just want to penalize the unvaccinated.”

__________

Blatant use of the carrot and stick technique to ratchet up the pressure on players to knuckle under and agree to be jabbed.

The question should be, does he have the covid?

Not whether he tested positive or not. The tests for the corona virus are notoriously unreliable in their results. The creators of the RT-PCR test, the most commonly used coronavirus test, say it yields between 80 and 97 percent false positive results.

Is he sick with symptoms? Or is this an exercise in semantics? Contrary to this "pandemic", countries previously didn't quarantine well people. Quarantines are for sick people.

Much to do about nothing unless he's laying in a hospital bed unable to breathe.

Is there any reason why he can't play? Or are they just crying wolf?

RE: Is he sick with symptoms?

From his last game against Denver? He destroyed the opposing team, scoring 37 points and dishing out 15 assists with 3 steals. If that is a sick person, I don’t know what healthy is.

Sorry, I don't follow pro sports.

This could be a deliberate way to handicap your opponent by claiming their star player is infected and take him out of play.

This covid thing has been taken way beyond what it is in reality, which is a virus that gives you the bad flu.....or not.

It was manipulated to alter our 2020 elections because ostensibly people couldn't stand in lines at the polling places so mail in ballots were deemed a requirement. Coincidentally, the easiest type of ballots to use to commit voter fraud.

Now these machinations to prevent a key player from playing in an NBA playoff series. Sounds suspect to me.

Seems a little too convenient. As I've gotten older, nothing seems to be what it appears at first blush. There's something nefarious going on, if you ask me.

How does something like this affect the sport betting line?
