I’m still hesitant to get vaccinated . . .
On one hand, I’d like to muster up enough pride to take what ought to be called the Trump Vaccine, but I keep reading stories like this one about horrible side effects.
Then, yesterday, while doing my weekly grocery shopping, it seemed like I was in the minority in my store who were still “donning” masks. Even most of the employees, including my favorite clerk, were bare-faced.
While I’d love to have my freedom to breathe uninhibited air again, I just don’t want to press my luck.
Sounds like there might have been a genetic disposition. But it could also have been nutritional.

Well, if enough of us get vaccinated or obtain “natural” immunity from catching and recovering from the disease, it will no longer be spreading around and you won’t be exposed to the virus. In any case, keep up your health and good luck.

I don’t know one UN-vaccinated person who wears a mask.
I’m not saying there are not un-vaxxed folks who don’t wear masks, just as there are vax’d people who do.
Just that I, personally, do not know of any.

A majority of U.S. colleges will REQUIRE the jabs for student to attend this Fall. Many won't even allow students who HAD Covid already unless ALSO vaccinated! This despite superior immunity from having the virus.
This ignorant mother will have to live with the consequences for the rest of her life.

I am not vaxed. I have made my personal risk reward analysis. If I get Covid and have complications, I will post it for anyone who is interested. I am in, unmasked, contact with several hundred people per week. Maybe more.
We were in Buc-ees, recently, and NOT one person was wearing a mask....and, it was packed!
I don’t think all of them were vax’d. I know our group wasn’t.
Short contacts are not risky.
Here in my neighborhood, it’s a mix of masked and unmasked. I’m unmasked if I’m in the open air and not close to other people. I have to put the mask on if I enter a business. It’s all up in the air about what happens next here.
It’s also hard to gauge people’s reactions on the street. I’m more comfortable with doing a “do si do” unmasked with a passing unmasked pedestrian, with one of us stepping of the curb if need be. If I see someone with a mask on approaching me, my mask goes on, as a matter of courtesy and to set the other person at ease.
The other day I was passing someone on the street (she had her mask down to her chin and was sipping a can of soda), my mask went up as I passed her and I heard her grumble, “Thank God I’m vaxxed and all that s&&$t.”
Short contacts are not risky.
What about tall ones?

Here, we rarely see any masks worn outside. Maybe restaurant servers. I feel so bad for them, especially now with temps hovering 100º.
Fewer and fewer, inside.
What is the point of wearing a mask outside, when you’re likely not closer than 6’ away from people, and, if passing....only 2’ away for a brief time?
