Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) suggested on Sunday that Sen. Joe Manchin's opposition to S-1 isn't all about "voting rights." She said Manchin, a West Virginia Democrat, is stuck in the "old way of politics."
Manchin said last week he thinks the Democrats' so-called "For the People Act" is "the wrong piece of legislation to bring our country together and unite our country, and I'm not supporting that because I think it would divide us further."
Manchin also is one of two Democrats opposing calls to end the Senate filibuster, which requires 60 votes to get most legislation, including S-1, passed.

He is a master at being a chameleon. He’ll vote with Schumer if his vote would tip the scale. Otherwise, he’s given a pass to do what he wants to get re-elected. His state has voted GOP by at least 30 pts. in the past two elections and he’s the only statewide Dem in the delegation.

Everything for people like AOC has to be radical; there’s no common interest, no common values; there’s not even a possibility of bi-partisan ideas that can be good for the entire country. For people like her, politics is a confrontation and a clash. Bi-partisanship isn’t radical enough for her.
There has not been bi-partisanship for many years. What they call it is just RINOS caving to Dems.

Thank you; I live a dozen miles wet of NYC in NJ, and we are importing masses of foreigners just to keep housing occupied/public schools filled. Many are not here to work, and many probably couldn’t anyway; they are imported to birth anchor babies (public school clients).
